Filterbuy HRF16x20x5M13pk2 16x20x5 MERV 13 HVAC Filter, 2-Pack

When it’s time to replace the filter in a furnace, air conditioner, or heat pump, the Filterbuy HRF16x20x5M13pk2 provides a MERV 13 pleated option in a two-pack. Its nominal size is 16 x 20 x 5 inches, the actual size is 15.75 x 19.75 x 4.38 inches.

The electrostatically charged synthetic filter media is designed to capture dust and other airborne particles. Use the exact dimensions to match your existing filter slot and choose a replacement that fits your system.

If you’re choosing between a basic fiberglass filter and pleated MERV 13 media, this model offers a higher-rated filtration option for compatible HVAC systems, with two filters in the pack for replacement planning.

Benefits

MERV 13 synthetic media is designed to capture 98% of dust, with filtration aimed at particles including pollen, lint, smoke, and bacteria. That makes this filter relevant for everyday HVAC use when reducing airborne dust and allergens is a priority. Its pleated construction provides the filtering surface in a rectangular replacement format for an air cleaner, air conditioner, furnace, HVAC system, or heat pump.

The two-pack gives you a second filter for a later change, while the stated actual dimensions help distinguish this model from filters that share the same nominal size. Customers often highlight straightforward installation and dust filtration. Feedback on fit and durability is mixed, so use the actual measurements and your system’s listed filter requirements when selecting it.

What matters most

Size is central to choosing a replacement: 16 x 20 x 5 is the nominal size, while the filter’s actual measurements are 15.75 x 19.75 x 4.38 inches. Compare the actual dimensions with the filter currently in your system and check the model compatibility information for your unit.

This filter is listed for systems including Honeywell FC100A1003 and Lennox X0592, as well as other specified Honeywell, BDP, Bryant, Carrier, and Payne models. Its MERV 13 rating and synthetic media make it a distinct choice for shoppers prioritizing particle filtration over a basic fiberglass replacement. The two filters are suited to homes or businesses that want a spare on hand for the next scheduled change.

Tips for day-to-day use

For installation, turn off the system’s power and remove the intake vent cover before taking out the old filter. Insert the replacement with its airflow direction matching the system’s airflow, then replace the cover and restore power. Following the airflow direction helps the filter sit correctly in the system. Keep the actual dimensions available when ordering replacements so the next filter matches the slot.
