Aerostar 16x25x1 MERV 11 Pleated Air Filters, 6-Pack, Actual Size 15.75 x 24.75 x 0.75

For a home furnace or air conditioner with a standard 1-inch filter slot, this six-pack provides replacement filters rated MERV 11. The pleated synthetic media is designed to capture dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, and smoke. If you mainly need a basic dust filter, a lower-rated option may be enough, if you want this filtration level, start by matching the actual dimensions to your system.

What matters most

The listed size, 16x25x1, is the nominal size, each filter’s actual dimensions are 15.75 x 24.75 x 0.75 inches. That distinction matters when a filter sits in a close-fitting slot. Check the dimensions of your current filter or the HVAC unit’s requirements before choosing this pack.

MERV 11 is the key performance detail. The product information describes filtration for particles including dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, and smoke, and compares the rating with MPR 1200 and FPR 7. Its pleated, electrostatically charged synthetic material offers more surface area than a flat filter. That makes it a more targeted choice for capturing smaller airborne particles than a basic, lower-rated filter, while still being intended for compatible AC and furnace systems. The listing does not establish that it will suit every HVAC setup, so slot size and system requirements remain important.

Everyday use

The slide-in rectangular design is meant for routine filter replacement, and the pack contains six filters. The product guidance suggests changing them every 60 to 90 days, with more frequent replacement during peak summer and winter use. Actual timing can vary with operating conditions, so check the filter as part of regular household maintenance rather than assuming one schedule fits every home.

Customer feedback is generally favorable about dust filtration and fit, though impressions are not uniform. Some buyers say the filters fit as expected and help keep dust down, others find the size smaller than their previous filter or have trouble positioning it. Opinions on sturdiness and how long a filter lasts are also mixed. Those reports make the exact measurements especially relevant if your current filter fits tightly or needs to stay firmly in place.

Who it’s for

This pack is worth considering if your system uses a 1-inch rectangular filter with matching actual dimensions and you want MERV 11 filtration for common household particles. It may suit a home with pets or seasonal pollen concerns, where capturing dander and pollen is part of the filter’s stated purpose. Having six replacements on hand also fits a routine maintenance plan based on the listed replacement guidance.

It may not suit you if your system calls for a different filter thickness or size, the 16x25x1 label alone does not confirm a match. If your priority is simply a basic filter for larger dust, a lower-rated alternative may be a closer fit for that need. For buyers comparing options, the deciding factors here are the MERV 11 rating, the actual dimensions, and whether those dimensions match the existing slot.

Buying verdict

The Aerostar 16x25x1 MERV 11 six-pack is a practical choice when you need this specific size and filtration level for a compatible furnace or AC system. Its main advantage over a basic filter is the stated focus on finer household particles, while its main buying check is fit: the actual size is smaller than the nominal 16x25x1 label suggests. Confirming that measurement before ordering is more useful than relying on the nominal size alone.
