Silkland USB-C Cable, 1.6 ft, 90-Degree, 20Gbps, 240W

Some USB-C setups need extra reach, others benefit from a short cable that keeps a drive or monitor connection close to the device. This Silkland cable combines a 1.6-foot length with a right-angle connector. Its USB-C to USB-C design supports data, charging, and video connections for compatible equipment.

How to use it

Connect the male USB-C ends to compatible USB-C devices such as a laptop and an external SSD, hub, or docking station. The 90-degree connector turns the cable along the edge of a device, which can help keep a compact desk or portable-monitor setup organized. Compared with a straight connector, this angled design is useful when the cable needs to route close to a device or through a tight space.

The cable is rated for data transfer up to 20Gbps, making it suited to moving files between compatible devices. It also supports charging up to 240W when used with compatible charging equipment. For a display connection, the connected USB-C port must support DP Alt Mode, the cable supports video output up to 4K at 60Hz as listed for this product.

Buyers often praise the cable’s construction and say its 1.6-foot length works well for close connections. Feedback is mixed on connectivity, charging speed, flexibility, and long-term durability, so experiences vary. The braided nylon exterior and right-angle form make the cable’s physical design especially relevant when choosing a short connection for a tidy workstation or portable setup.

Why it makes sense

A single USB-C cable can serve several everyday connection needs, rather than being limited to charging alone. Use it to connect an external SSD for data transfer, link a compatible laptop to a hub or docking station, or connect a supported portable monitor. The 20Gbps data-transfer rating is useful for file-focused setups, while the 240W charging support adds an option for compatible high-power USB-C charging equipment.

Its short length helps keep nearby devices connected without a long cable run, and the angled plug gives the cable a different routing option from a straight-ended design. The gray, round cable has a braided nylon outer material. For video, confirm that the device’s USB-C port supports DP Alt Mode, since that capability is required for display output.

When it makes sense

This cable suits a close-range connection between a USB-C laptop and an SSD, hub, dock, or compatible portable monitor. It is also a practical fit when an angled plug helps route a cable along a device or keep a small work area neater. Choose it for a setup where short reach, high-speed data transfer, and charging support are useful together, for monitor use, make sure the USB-C port supports DP Alt Mode.
