OKGO!INK DR830 Drum Unit 2-Pack for Select Brother Printers, Up to 15,000 Pages

Technical details

If a compatible Brother laser printer needs a replacement drum, this two-pack provides DR830 units for the listed HL, DCP, and MFC models. It can suit a home office or small workspace that wants spare drum units on hand, but it is a drum-only purchase—not a complete toner-and-drum set.

Each unit is listed for up to 15,000 pages at 5% coverage on A4 paper. That figure describes the stated coverage condition, so it should not be treated as a guaranteed page count for every document or print routine.

What it works with

The listed HL models are HL-L2400D, HL-L2405W, HL-L2420DW, HL-L2460DW, HL-L2460DW XL, HL-L2465DW, HL-L2467DW, HL-L2480DW, and HL-L2865DW. Listed DCP models are DCP-L2640DW and DCP-L2647DW. Listed MFC models are MFC-L2760DW, MFC-L2807DW, MFC-L2820DW, MFC-L2820DW XL, MFC-L2900DW, MFC-L2900DW XL, and MFC-L2980DW.

The drum is designed to work with a TN830 or TN830XL toner cartridge, but neither cartridge is part of the package. Before ordering, match the full printer model and regional version against the list, the product information specifies North American printers only. This makes it a different buying choice from a bundle that includes toner as well as a drum.

Usage tips

Check whether your printer needs a drum unit or a toner cartridge before replacing anything: this package supplies the DR830 drum units only. If the printer still needs toner, the listed TN830 or TN830XL cartridge must be purchased separately. The included instruction guide may help with installation, though no additional setup details are provided here.

For a shared printer, keeping the second unit as a spare may be useful when another replacement is eventually needed. The stated yield is per drum, not for both units combined, and is based on 5% coverage on A4 paper. Customer feedback is mixed: some buyers describe the value positively, while others disagree, and print-quality comments also vary, including reports of poor results. Those perceptions are not a substitute for the compatibility and yield details above.

Practical questions

Does this package include toner? No. It includes two DR830 drum units and an instruction guide, TN830 or TN830XL toner is required separately.

How many pages is each drum rated for? Up to 15,000 pages per unit at 5% coverage on A4 paper. The stated figure is tied to that coverage condition.

Can it be used with any Brother printer? No. It is listed for specific HL, DCP, and MFC models, and the product information limits compatibility to North American printers. Match the exact model before choosing it.

Is it worth it?

Worth considering if your printer is one of the listed North American models, you need DR830 drum units, and you already have—or plan to buy separately—the required toner. The two-pack provides a spare, while the listed yield gives a reference point under a defined coverage condition. Not the best choice if you need toner included, own a printer outside the compatibility list, or use a non-North American printer. The mixed buyer comments on print quality are also a reason to weigh the compatibility and drum-only format carefully rather than assuming every setup will have the same experience.
