Logitech ERGO M575S Wireless Trackball Mouse with Bluetooth and Quiet Clicks

For right-handed computer users who want to control the cursor with their thumb rather than move a mouse across the desk, the Logitech ERGO M575S offers a sculpted trackball design for everyday work.

Its stationary base helps keep cursor control within a compact workspace, while the thumb-operated ball provides smooth, precise tracking. Quiet clicks make it well suited to shared work areas and focused desk time.

Connect over Bluetooth Low Energy or use the included Logi Bolt USB receiver. The mouse works with Windows and macOS, and its AA battery is included.

Size & fit

The ERGO M575S is shaped for right-handed use, with a contoured body that supports the hand while the thumb moves the trackball. Logitech describes the design as suitable for most hand sizes. Because cursor movement comes from the ball rather than sliding the mouse, it can fit into a small desk setup or a busy workspace where there is limited room to move a conventional mouse.

This setup also makes the trackball useful on different work surfaces: the mouse stays in place as you navigate documents, spreadsheets, or desktop apps. The ball is controlled with the thumb, while the hand remains on the sculpted housing. It’s a practical alternative to a standard movement-based mouse for people who want to keep cursor control contained to one spot.

Why it’s worth it

The ergonomic shape was developed with Logitech Ergo Lab experts, user-tested, and certified by ergonomists. Logitech states that the design can reduce forearm muscle strain by 25% compared with the Logitech M650. That documented comparison, along with the supported hand position, gives the M575S a clear focus for longer stretches of desk work. The quiet clicks are also specified as 80% quieter than those of the ERGO M575, a useful detail for quieter offices or shared rooms.

The plastic parts in the black version use 52% certified post-consumer recycled plastic, excluding the printed wiring assembly, cables, and packaging. Buyers often highlight the comfortable shape, secure grip, straightforward setup, and Bluetooth connection. Feedback on cursor responsiveness is mixed: some appreciate the smooth ball movement, while others find cursor control less precise. This is worth considering when choosing between a thumb trackball and a conventional mouse, whose cursor movement comes from moving the entire device.
