LMJP Health Monitoring Cat Litter, 17.2 lb Silica Crystals, Unscented, 4-Pack

Usage tips

Made with silica gel micro crystals, this unscented, non-clumping litter absorbs urine while its color-changing indicator adds a visual cue for routine monitoring. The four-pack format offers a ready supply for cat households using crystal litter.

Scoop solid waste daily and stir the crystals so urine reaches them evenly. Check the color within 12–24 hours after your cat urinates, the indicator may fade over time. For a clear view of the indicator, use the litter on its own rather than mixing it with another type, since mixing can affect color-change readings.

Benefits

The crystals absorb urine and help lock in ammonia odors rather than masking them with fragrance. That makes this unscented formula a practical choice for apartments, smaller living spaces, and homes where odor control matters. Low dust and low tracking help keep litter-box routines tidier, while the micro crystals are designed to be comfortable on cats’ paws and less likely to cling to fur.

The non-clumping format offers a different maintenance routine from litter that forms urine clumps: scoop out solid waste and stir the remaining crystals. It also provides a color-change feature that can help you notice shifts in urine pH during ordinary litter-box care. This is a monitoring aid, not a diagnosis, a color change can have several causes, including diet, hydration, and stress.

What matters most

Choose this litter if you want odor-absorbing silica crystals and an indicator that makes urine changes easier to notice as part of your regular routine. It works with regular and automatic litter boxes, so you can use the crystal format with either setup. The unscented formula also suits households that prefer litter without added fragrance.

For example, during a daily litter-box clean, you can remove solid waste, stir the crystals, and take a moment to observe their color. That combines routine care with a simple visual check without treating the indicator as a substitute for veterinary advice. The product is also described as free of propylene glycol and crystalline silica.

What to clarify

When should you check the color? Check within 12–24 hours after your cat urinates. The color change may appear soon after contact and fade over time, so a timely look is most useful.

Does a color change mean your cat is sick? Not necessarily. Urine pH can be affected by factors such as diet, hydration, and stress. If an unusual color change continues for more than two days, contact your veterinarian for guidance.

Can you mix this litter with another type? Mixing may interfere with the color-change feature and affect monitoring results. For a clearer indicator, use the crystals without mixing in other litter.

Should you buy it?

Its fit with regular and automatic litter boxes makes it a straightforward option for households choosing crystal litter and looking to incorporate observation into everyday cleanup.
