ShinHye Round Hooded Cat Bed, Plush 20-Inch Cave with Waterproof Bottom

The plush hood gives cats a covered place to curl up, while the round bed’s raised sides create a cozy spot to rest. Its top can be left open for easier access or laid flat, so you can adapt the setup to your pet’s preferred way of settling in.

For pets that like to burrow, the cave-style cover offers a sheltered alternative to an open cushion. The gray, round design is sized for indoor cats and small dogs.

Getting the most from it

Place the bed where your pet already likes to relax, such as a living room or family room. The cover can remain open when your cat or small dog prefers easy entry, or lie flat to create a more open resting surface. Raised edges provide a place to lean the head and neck while curled up. A waterproof, non-slip bottom is designed to help keep the bed in place and protect the surface beneath it.

The 20-by-20-inch footprint suits a compact resting area. Before choosing it, compare those dimensions with your pet’s usual sleeping position, a pet that curls up may use the space differently from one that stretches out. For a pet that seeks a covered nook, the hooded shape offers a distinct alternative to a flat, open bed.

Why it’s worth it

The main advantage is flexibility: the cover can create a cave-like retreat or be opened up for access, making the bed useful for pets with different resting preferences. Soft plush fabric and a cotton-filled body make it a comfortable place for naps and downtime, while the raised perimeter gives a curled-up pet an edge to rest against. The waterproof bottom adds a practical layer for placement around the home.

Buyer feedback frequently praises the soft, fluffy feel and the comfort pets find in the bed, with some noting that pets enjoy burrowing in it. Feedback on sizing is mixed, so the listed dimensions are especially useful when choosing for a larger cat. Some buyers also mention that the cover does not always stay upright and that the bed can wobble. These impressions can help set expectations if keeping the hood raised is central to how you plan to use it.
