LinkDocs Compatible Ink Cartridges 5-Pack

Best use cases

The five-cartridge set includes both black ink formats plus cyan, magenta, and yellow, so it can replace a mixed set rather than just one color.

It’s intended for use with listed Canon PIXMA printers, including the TR8620A, TR7520, TR8520, TS6120, and several other TS and TR models.

You’ll appreciate it if you want replacement cartridges in one package and your printer uses the PGI-280XXL and CLI-281XXL formats.

For routine home printing, that mix covers common needs such as black text alongside color pages. Before ordering, match your exact printer model and cartridge numbers to the compatibility list, a similar printer name alone isn’t enough to establish a fit.

Product specs

The package contains one PGI-280XXL black cartridge and four CLI-281XXL cartridges: black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. That means there are two black cartridges, but they are different types. If you only need color or only need one particular black format, this bundle may leave you with cartridges you don’t currently need.

The maker lists yields of up to 600 pages for the PGI-280XXL black, 830 pages for each CLI-281XXL cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridge, and 6,360 pages for the CLI-281XXL black, based on 5% coverage of Letter or A4 paper. Those figures are according to the maker, not a guarantee of how many pages you’ll get: actual use depends on what you print, and documents with heavier ink coverage can use more ink.

The listed compatible printer models include PIXMA TS6120, TS8120, TS9120, TS702, TS8220, TS6220, TS9521C, TS9520, TS6320, TS8322, TR8520, TR7520, TR8620, TS8320, TS8222, TR8622, TR7620, TR8622A, TR8620A, and TS702A. The stated cartridge numbers are PGI-280XXL and CLI-281XXL.

Where it shines

The practical advantage is having the separate color cartridges and both black formats together. If a color runs low while you’re printing school documents or a mix of forms and photos at home, the set gives you replacements for each listed ink color without buying them one at a time. It also includes an extra black cartridge type for printers that take both formats.

Compared with buying only the cartridge that ran out, this bundle makes more sense when you expect to need several colors or both black types. The tradeoff is that the listing doesn’t provide independent page-yield testing or details about performance with specific kinds of photo paper, so buyers with demanding photo-printing needs may want more evidence before choosing it. The ink is described as a high-quality formula, but that claim doesn’t establish how its output compares with other replacement inks.

Should you buy it?

This LinkDocs set is worth considering if your printer appears on the compatibility list, takes PGI-280XXL and CLI-281XXL cartridges, and you can use the full five-cartridge mix. Its appeal is practical: one package covers black, cyan, magenta, and yellow, with two different black cartridges included.

It’s not for you if your printer model or cartridge number doesn’t match, or if you need only one specific cartridge and would rather avoid keeping the rest of the set. The listed yields may help set expectations, but they’re based on light 5% page coverage, so frequent printing of dense graphics or photos could make the stated page counts a poor guide to your own use.
