TN920XL Compatible Black Toner Cartridge

How to use it

The installed chip is the main convenience here: the cartridges are described as ready to use without transferring a chip from an existing TN920 or TN920XL cartridge. That can make replacing toner less fiddly when a black cartridge runs out, especially if you keep spares on hand for a busy office printer.

This is a four-pack of black toner, not a color set.

The listing names Brother HL-L5210DN, HL-L5210DW, HL-L5215DW, HL-L6210DW, HL-L6217DW, HL-L6310DW, HL-L6415DW and HL-EX415DW printers, plus the DCP-L5510DN and MFC-L5710DN, MFC-L5710DW, MFC-L5715DW, MFC-L5717DW, MFC-L5915DW, MFC-L6810DW, MFC-L6915DW and MFC-EX915DW. Match your exact model to that list before ordering, a similar printer name alone isn’t enough to establish compatibility. From the way it is set up, the appeal is straightforward replacement rather than extra chip handling. Why make that swap more complicated than it needs to be?

Pros

• Four black cartridges provide spares for future replacements, rather than just one cartridge at a time.
• Each cartridge is listed for up to 6,000 pages, based on Letter/A4 paper at 5% coverage. That figure is a stated maximum, not a promise of the same result for every print job.
• The chip is already installed, so the listing says there is no need to move a chip from the old cartridge.

You’ll appreciate it if you print black documents regularly on one of the listed Brother models and want a multipack on hand. For example, keeping a replacement nearby means you can swap cartridges when a printer runs low instead of waiting until the next supply run. This is a more stock-up-oriented purchase than choosing a single cartridge when you only need to replace toner once.

The limitation is the narrow fit: these are black TN920/TN920XL-compatible cartridges for the named printer models, not a general-purpose toner or a color option. It’s not for you if your printer isn’t on the compatibility list or your jobs require color printing. A compatible cartridge may also be a different buying choice from a cartridge sold by the printer’s original manufacturer, so consider which route you prefer before choosing.

Final verdict

This pack makes the most sense when your printer is an exact match and you want four black replacements with the chip already installed. The stated yield gives a useful point of reference, but actual page use will vary with how much of each page is covered in toner. If you print only occasionally, need color, or can’t confirm your model in the compatibility list, a four-pack is a less practical fit, for regular black printing on a listed machine, it offers a ready-to-store supply without requiring chip transfer.
