68 XL Compatible Ink Cartridge Combo Pack
Product description
Quick overview
When a home printer runs out of ink mid-document, having black and tri-color cartridges together can make the next refill straightforward. This compatible 68 XL combo includes one black cartridge, one tri-color cartridge, and a user guide, and is listed for select HP Envy and DeskJet printers. The stated yield is up to 650 pages for each cartridge at 5% coverage. It’s a non-OEM pack, so compatibility and cartridge recognition matter as much as the page-yield figure when deciding whether it suits your printer.
How it fits
The listed Envy models include printers in the 6100e and 6500e series, such as the 6155e, 6165e, 6555e, and 6558e. The compatibility list also names select DeskJet models, including the 2923, 2955, 4327, and 4358. Check your exact printer model against the full list before buying, a similar series name alone doesn’t confirm a match.
For a household that prints forms, homework, or occasional color pages, a black-and-color combo can be more convenient than buying each cartridge separately. For example, you could print a black-and-white form and a color worksheet from the same printer without needing to source a second cartridge type. Keep in mind that this is a third-party, non-OEM pack, and the listing includes troubleshooting steps for cases where a cartridge isn’t recognized or working properly.
Tips for day-to-day use
The package has one 68 XL black cartridge and one 68 XL tri-color cartridge. The listed maximum yield is up to 650 pages for each, based on 5% coverage, treat that as a stated estimate rather than a promise that every job will produce the same number of pages. The user guide may help with setup, while the listing advises avoiding contact with the chip and ink nozzles.
If the printer doesn’t recognize a cartridge, the supplied instructions suggest cleaning the printer and cartridge contacts and checking the printer settings. Don’t touch the chip or nozzles while handling it. This troubleshooting detail is useful to know before choosing a compatible alternative, especially if you’d rather avoid dealing with setup steps and prefer an OEM cartridge instead.

Buying verdict
It makes sense if your printer appears on the compatibility list, you need both black and color ink, and you’re comfortable choosing a non-OEM cartridge. The combo’s practical advantage is having both cartridge types in one pack, rather than buying only black ink and needing to arrange a separate color refill later. It might not be a great match if you want an OEM replacement or would rather avoid possible recognition troubleshooting. Before choosing, compare your printer’s exact model number with the listing and decide whether the stated yield and third-party status fit how you print.
