It (Blu-ray), Horror Thriller with English, French, Portuguese and Spanish Subtitles
Product description
Blu-ray brings Andy Muschietti’s horror thriller to a home movie collection in a two-hour feature with multiple subtitle options. Set in Derry, Maine, the story follows a group of kids confronting an evil clown as children begin to disappear. Looking for a supernatural thriller with a young ensemble at its center? This film combines that coming-of-age focus with horror and mystery.
What to know
Based on Stephen King’s novel, It centers on Pennywise, a sinister clown whose history of violence reaches back centuries. The children face their fears together, giving the story a group dynamic alongside its unsettling supernatural premise. The film is rated R and runs for two hours.
The Blu-ray is in NTSC format, with English and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Subtitles are available in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish, making it easier to follow dialogue across those language options. If you’re choosing between a standalone movie and a broader multi-film collection, this release is focused on one complete feature: Muschietti’s adaptation of the first part of the story.
Everyday use
This is a fit for a movie night built around horror, mystery, and suspense, especially for viewers drawn to Stephen King adaptations and stories about a close-knit group facing danger. The ensemble includes Jaeden Lieberher, Bill Skarsgård, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, and Wyatt Oleff. Pennywise provides the central threat, while the kids’ relationships bring a human thread to the frightening premise.
Customer reactions to the film are mixed in ways that can help set expectations. Many praise the young cast and the group’s chemistry, and some appreciate the blend of heart and humor. Others differ on how frightening or entertaining the movie feels, and opinions also vary on its changes from the source story. Those responses reflect different tastes in horror and adaptation, the documented format, runtime, rating, and language options offer practical points for choosing the disc.
Getting the most from it
Choose the audio and subtitle combination that works for your viewing setup: the listed audio options are English and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1, and subtitles are offered in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish. The multiple subtitle choices are useful when viewers prefer to follow the dialogue in different languages, while the two-hour runtime makes it straightforward to plan as a feature-length movie night.
The film’s Derry setting and Pennywise storyline suit viewers who want a supernatural threat grounded in a group of young characters rather than a story focused on a single protagonist. Its R rating is also a practical consideration when selecting a movie for a household or shared viewing.
Final verdict
It on Blu-ray brings together a Stephen King horror premise, Muschietti’s direction, and a young ensemble in a two-hour feature. It’s worth considering if you want a standalone horror thriller with English and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 audio and subtitles in four languages. The mix of supernatural suspense, group storytelling, and flexible subtitle options makes it a clear pick for viewers looking to add this adaptation to their movie collection.
