BUNTIE WORMS 5LB Dried Mealworms for Wild Birds and Chickens, 51% Protein

Offer backyard chickens a protein-rich treat or set out mealworms for wild birds with BUNTIE WORMS dried mealworms. The 5-pound pouch contains 100% natural, non-GMO mealworms. With 51% protein, they add a simple treat option to a feeding routine. Could one pouch serve both the coop and the bird feeder?

Getting the most from it

Use these dried mealworms as a treat or supplement for chickens and wild birds, including bluebirds. The product is also described for ducks and other animals such as reptiles, amphibians, fish, and hedgehogs. That range makes it useful for households caring for different animals, while the mealworm format keeps the offering consistent across those uses.

The 51% protein content gives buyers a clear nutritional detail when choosing a treat, and the mealworms are described as containing no preservatives or additives. They can be offered as a snack alongside an animal’s usual feeding routine. For a backyard setup, that could mean placing a portion where wild birds visit and keeping the rest available for chicken treats. Store the resealable pouch in a cool, dry place, refrigeration is not required.

Why it makes sense

A 5-pound supply is practical for shoppers who regularly offer mealworms, rather than buying a smaller amount for occasional use. The resealable zip-top pouch makes it easier to access the contents and close the bag again between feedings. Its dried format and pantry-style storage also suit a routine that does not depend on refrigeration.

Mealworms offer a different treat choice from standard poultry feed: they are a distinct, protein-rich snack for moments when you want to supplement the usual feeding routine. The product is positioned for both chickens and wild birds, so it can suit a home with a coop and an outdoor feeding area without needing separate mealworm products for those uses.

Worth noting

The listed protein content is 51%, and the product is identified as non-GMO. Customer feedback often highlights birds’ interest in the mealworms, particularly bluebirds, as well as chickens enjoying them as treats. Some customers also appreciate their appearance and freshness. Opinions about taste are mixed, so individual animals may respond differently, these impressions are not a substitute for the product’s stated details.

The pouch is resealable, and the recommended storage is a cool, dry place. Those straightforward handling details help make a larger supply easier to keep accessible for repeated use. Introduce the mealworms as a treat or supplement within the animals’ regular feeding routine.

Final verdict

BUNTIE WORMS is a practical fit for backyard birders and chicken keepers who want dried mealworms in a substantial 5-pound pouch. Its 51% protein content, non-GMO mealworms, and resealable packaging support regular treat use, while the listed applications include wild birds, chickens, and several other animals. Choose it when you want one easy-to-store mealworm treat for a coop, a bird-feeding area, or both.
