Getting the most from it

Use the Arctis Nova Elite with a PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch or mobile phone, then bring audio sources together through the GameHub. The four-source mixing is useful when you want to keep game sound in the foreground while also listening to Bluetooth audio or another connected input. For a focused session, active noise cancellation helps lessen background sound, Transparency Mode gives you another way to hear your surroundings.

The carbon fibre drivers and their two-piece brass surround are designed for responsive, accurate sound reproduction. Hi-Res 96kHz/24-bit processing and the LC3+ codec support detailed, low-latency wireless audio over 2.4GHz or Bluetooth. For voice chat, onboard AI noise rejection is designed to reduce background noise picked up by the microphone. App control gives you another way to adjust the headset, and PC users can use SteelSeries Sonar software.

Two swappable batteries help keep the headset ready for longer sessions: use one while the other charges in the GameHub. Each battery offers up to 30 hours, and a 15-minute fast charge provides up to four hours of use. The adjustable headband and over-ear fit suit extended gaming sessions, while the steel and die-cast aluminium construction brings a substantial, distinctive finish.

Buying verdict

The Arctis Nova Elite is a strong fit for players who move between platforms or want several audio sources available in one setup. Its combination of Hi-Res wireless audio, four-source mixing, active noise cancellation and swappable batteries is especially useful for multi-device gaming and long sessions. Buyers also praise its build and sound, with some highlighting the ANC and Hi-Res audio, others feel the price is high. Choose it for its connected, adaptable gaming setup and detailed wireless sound, rather than for a headset focused on a single audio source.
