Some listening calls for a quieter space, while other moments are better with the world around you still audible. Soundcore P30i wireless earbuds let you switch between adaptive active noise cancelling and Transparency mode, with a charging case that also works as a phone stand.

Everyday use

Adaptive ANC detects external sound and adjusts noise cancelling to suit your surroundings, while Transparency mode lets outside sound through when you need to stay aware. Which mode suits the moment: a quieter listen or more awareness of what’s happening around you? Switching between them makes the P30i useful across commutes, focused listening and everyday errands.

For a break between tasks, open the case’s back panel and set your mobile phone on the stand for hands-free viewing. It’s a practical extra for watching a programme while travelling or keeping a screen visible while you listen. For calls, the earbuds have four microphones with AI, and the manufacturer lists sports, cycling and phone calls among their intended uses. The IP54 rating adds water resistance for day-to-day use.

Tips for day-to-day use

Use the soundcore app to access its EQ options and tailor the audio to your preference. Touch controls keep common interactions on the earbuds, while Bluetooth connectivity suits compatible smartphones, tablets and laptops. The case combines charging with phone support, so the same compact accessory can serve both purposes when you want to listen or watch hands-free.

Battery figures vary by listening mode: the stated normal-mode figures are up to 10 hours from the earbuds and 45 hours with the case, compared with up to 6 and 25 hours respectively with ANC on. A quick 10-minute charge is listed as providing up to 2 hours of playtime, useful when you have a short window to top up before heading out.

When it makes sense

The P30i suits listeners who want noise control they can adjust, bass-forward audio and a case that does more than charge. It brings together ANC and Transparency mode for changing surroundings, plus a phone stand for hands-free viewing. Customers praise the sound and easy connection, while comments on noise cancelling and battery life are mixed, the manufacturer’s figures distinguish clearly between normal listening and ANC use.

A solid pick if you want in-ear Bluetooth earbuds for everyday listening, calls or time on the move, with the added convenience of a stand built into the charging case.
