JBL Live 780NC (JBLLIVE780NCPUR) Over-Ear Headphones, Purple, Adaptive ANC

For listening on a commute or settling into a playlist while travelling, the JBL Live 780NC combines over-ear comfort with Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 and JBL Signature Sound.

Switch between Bluetooth 6.0 wireless listening and wired Hi-Res Audio, depending on how you want to use them. The fully foldable design makes the headphones easier to pack, while the included carrying pouch keeps them together between journeys.

With easy controls, clear calls and a listed battery life of 80 hours, they bring everyday listening and travel features into one pair of purple headphones.

Why it makes sense

The Live 780NC gives you a choice of listening modes rather than locking you into a wired-only or wireless-only setup. Use Bluetooth for untethered listening, or connect with the supplied USB Type-C to 3.5 mm analogue cable for wired audio. Hi-Res Audio is supported in both wired and wireless use, alongside JBL Signature Sound.

Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 is a practical feature for busy surroundings, while the over-ear fit suits longer listening sessions at home or on the move. The design folds fully, so it is easier to put away when your journey is over. Buyers praise the headphones’ appearance, feedback on sound quality and value is mixed, so individual preferences remain part of the choice.

Highlights

These headphones combine Bluetooth 6.0 with wired connectivity, giving you flexibility across different listening situations. The listed 80-hour battery life supports extended use between charging opportunities, and the easy controls keep everyday operation close at hand. Clear calls add a useful option when you need to switch from audio to a conversation.

The supplied carrying pouch and cable support a straightforward travel set-up: pack the folded headphones, then choose wireless or wired listening when you arrive. Their purple colour adds a distinctive finish without changing the practical, foldable over-ear format.

Who it’s for

The JBL Live 780NC is suited to adults looking for foldable over-ear headphones for travel, commuting and everyday listening. It makes particular sense if you want noise cancelling and Bluetooth, but also value the option of a wired connection. If your priority is a compact travel-friendly pair with both connection styles, that combination sets it apart from simpler wired-only headphones.

What to clarify

Can I use the headphones wirelessly and with a cable? Yes. They support Bluetooth 6.0, and the supplied USB Type-C to 3.5 mm analogue cable provides a wired listening option.

Are they designed for travel? Yes. The headphones fold fully, and a carrying pouch is included to help keep them together when packed.

What comes in the box? The listed contents are the JBL Live 780NC headphones, a carrying pouch, a USB Type-C to 3.5 mm analogue cable, a user manual and warranty/warning information.
