Soundcore P42i D1205 True Wireless ANC Earbuds with LDAC and Wireless Charging

On a commute or in a busy office, the Soundcore P42i D1205 earbuds use adaptive noise cancellation to respond to surrounding sounds, helping you focus on music or calls.

For concerts, festivals and games, Natural Mode lowers loud live sound more evenly while keeping voices, music and the atmosphere clear. Switch to a listening mode that suits the setting.

Enjoy Hi-Res Audio with LDAC, Bluetooth 6.1 and up to 56 hours of playtime with the charging case in normal mode. The purple true wireless earbuds also support wireless charging.

Why it’s worth it

Adaptive ANC adjusts to your surroundings and can reduce noise by up to 55 dB, making it useful for everyday listening around traffic, crowds or office activity. When you want to stay more aware of what is happening nearby, Natural Mode offers a different approach for live events, lowering background sound while retaining the character of the performance. Immersive mode is available for a more focused, distraction-reduced listen.

LDAC and Hi-Res Audio support detailed playback, with the manufacturer describing balanced treble and bass. For calls, six AI-enhanced microphones are designed to reduce surrounding noise and help your voice come through in places such as a busy train or windy street. Buyers frequently highlight the sound, noise cancellation and battery life, opinions on ease of handling the earbuds and case are mixed.

Quick overview

Battery life depends on the listening setup. In normal mode, the earbuds provide up to 12 hours per charge and up to 56 hours with the case. With ANC on, the figures are up to 8.5 hours per charge and 40 hours total. A 10-minute charge provides up to 3.5 hours of listening. Call time with ANC and ANC with LDAC have separate stated runtimes, so those modes are useful to keep in mind when planning longer listening sessions.

The P42i connects wirelessly over Bluetooth 6.1 and is listed for use with cellphones. The set includes XXS, XS, S, M and L ear tips, a USB-C cable and a wireless charging case. An IP55 rating, in-ear fit and compact true wireless design round out the practical details. Compared with choosing earbuds mainly for basic playback, this model brings adaptive noise control, a distinct mode for live sound and LDAC support into one pair. That combination is especially relevant if your listening moves between commuting, calls and events.

Practical tips

After pairing the earbuds, the soundcore app can be used to update them. It also offers hearing-health tools: take a hearing test for each ear and, after wearing both earbuds for 15 minutes, view a listening report with sound levels and average daily volume. Choosing from the included ear-tip sizes lets you tailor the in-ear fit. Use the USB-C cable or the case’s wireless charging feature to recharge, depending on your setup.

Should you buy it?

Worth considering if you want true wireless earbuds that can adapt to changing surroundings, handle calls with six AI-enhanced microphones and offer a dedicated Natural Mode for concerts and other loud live events. The long stated playtime, wireless charging case and LDAC Hi-Res Audio support make the P42i a practical fit for people who listen across the day and value more than one way to manage sound. For a commute, workday or live show, its strongest draw is the flexibility to shift between focused listening and a more natural sense of the sounds around you.
