Active noise cancellation is designed to reduce distractions such as subway, office and street noise. For calls, 10 sensors and the Thus AI Chip work to capture speech and reduce surrounding noise, supporting conversations in busy settings as well as quieter rooms. Customers often praise the sound, call clarity and noise cancellation, feedback on fit and battery experience varies, so personal impressions can differ.

Practical tips

For initial setup, pair the earbuds with your cell phone, then open the soundcore app and install the latest firmware. If the default sound profile is not your preference, the app offers EQ presets and HearID 5.0’s Preference Test to create a personalized EQ curve. This gives you a straightforward way to tailor music playback without changing how you use the earbuds for calls.

Tips for day-to-day use

Use ANC when you want to focus on a playlist or spoken audio during a noisy commute, or when background activity makes office listening less comfortable. With ANC off, the stated listening time is longer, which can suit a quieter workday or extended playback. A five-minute charge is listed as providing up to four hours of listening, useful when you need a quick top-up before heading out.

For hands-free moments, the earbuds support 20 built-in voice commands for actions such as skipping tracks, taking calls and adjusting volume. The commands are processed offline. Touch and voice controls offer different ways to manage listening, while the ear-tip range lets you choose among five listed sizes when setting up the in-ear fit. It suits you if you want one set of earbuds for music, calls and everyday listening, with ANC and app-based sound adjustment in the same package.

How long does the battery last? With ANC on, the earbuds are rated for up to 6.5 hours, or up to 28 hours with the case. With ANC off, the figures are up to 12 hours and up to 50 hours with the case.

Can I adjust the sound to my preference? Yes. Use EQ presets in the soundcore app or try HearID 5.0’s Preference Test to create a personalized EQ curve.

What supports call clarity in noisy places? The Thus AI Chip and 10 sensors are designed to capture your voice and reduce surrounding noise during calls.

Buying verdict

For everyday listening that includes work calls, commuting and music at home, Liberty 5 Pro combines active noise cancellation, voice-focused call processing and personalized EQ in a compact true wireless format. Its useful distinction is the mix of listening controls and call features: you can manage audio on the move and tune the sound through the app, with a case that extends the stated playback time.
