Key features

The WI-C100/B combines Bluetooth listening with a lightweight, flexible neckband that slips into a bag when you’re on the move. Its in-ear design is suited to everyday listening, whether you’re commuting, walking or settling in with a playlist. With Bluetooth 5 and a stated range of up to 10 metres, it can connect wirelessly to Bluetooth-enabled devices.

DSEE is designed to restore high-frequency sounds lost during music compression, bringing more detail back to compressed tracks. For further personalization, use the Sony | Headphones Connect app to adjust the sound. A built-in microphone supports hands-free calls, while the headphone buttons control playback, volume and calls without needing to reach for your phone.

The IPX4 rating means splashes and sweat needn’t interrupt a workout or walk. Buyers often highlight the battery life and sound quality, opinions are more varied on fit, comfort, durability, reliability, connectivity and value. This neckband style offers a different approach from fully separate true wireless earbuds, with the controls and earpieces joined by a flexible band.

Usage tips

Pair the headphones with a Bluetooth-enabled device for wireless listening and calls. When using an Android device, the manufacturer describes pairing with a simple tap. The raised buttons provide access to play or pause, track changes, volume adjustment and call handling, making them practical when your phone is tucked away. For a more tailored listening setup, open the Sony | Headphones Connect app and adjust the sound to suit your music.

For active use, the IPX4 splash and sweat resistance is a useful match for everyday exercise and outdoor walks. After a session, let the headphones dry before putting them away. The flexible neckband also makes them straightforward to pack for a commute or day out.

Best use cases

These headphones suit listeners who want wireless music, call handling and a neckband they can carry between home, work and the gym. The up-to-25-hour battery life is helpful for long listening stretches without frequent recharging, while the microphone lets you take calls without switching to a separate headset. DSEE and app-based sound adjustment add listening features for compressed music and personal tuning.

They’re also a practical fit for walks and workouts where sweat and splashes are part of the routine. If your priority is a connected neckband with physical controls, rather than a fully separate earbud format, the WI-C100/B brings those features together in one in-ear Bluetooth design.

Is it worth it?

The Sony WI-C100/B is a strong match for everyday listening if you value long battery life, hands-free calls and easy access to playback controls. Its flexible neckband makes it convenient to carry, while IPX4 resistance supports use during sweaty or splash-prone activities. Add DSEE and app-based sound tuning, and it offers useful ways to shape your listening without giving up the straightforwardness of a neckband headset.
