Compatibility

The P42i connects wirelessly to cell phones over Bluetooth. For everyday listening, calls or a commute, pair the earbuds with your phone and choose the listening mode that suits the setting. Adaptive ANC adjusts to surrounding noise, while Transparency Mode lets more of it through. Natural Mode is tailored to live events, where a more natural balance of the music, voices and atmosphere can matter.

LDAC is part of the audio feature set for detailed listening. To update the earbuds and access their latest features, the manufacturer recommends pairing them and using the soundcore app. The app also offers a hearing test for each ear and a listening report after wearing both earbuds for 15 minutes, giving you information about sound levels and average daily volume.

Getting the most from it

Choose an ear tip from the included XXS-to-L range for a fit that feels secure and comfortable. For a quieter commute or a busy office, use adaptive ANC to reduce surrounding sound. Switch to Transparency Mode when you want more awareness of your surroundings, or use Natural Mode at a concert or festival. These distinct modes make it easier to match the earbuds to the moment rather than relying on one sound setting for every environment.

For longer listening sessions, the case extends stated playtime to up to 56 hours in normal mode. When you need a quick top-up, a 10-minute charge provides up to 3.5 hours of listening. The case supports wireless charging, and the earbuds can also be charged using the included USB-C cable. Six AI-enhanced microphones are designed to help your voice come through on calls in places such as a crowded train or a windy street.

Buyers commonly highlight the sound, battery life, fit and noise reduction. These impressions reflect individual listening experiences, while the listed modes, microphone count and playtime figures describe the product’s documented features.
