JMROY b0557af4-d4ee-43bd-95a6-bd936a335e00 Braided USB-C Cable, 2-Pack

For anyone who needs USB-C charging and data transfer for phones, tablets or laptops, this JMROY two-pack keeps a matching cable handy for more than one setup. Each cable has USB-C connectors at both ends and a braided exterior. An E-Marker chip communicates power requirements between connected devices.

Highlights

Use the cables to charge compatible USB-C devices or sync data between them. The stated data transfer rate is up to 480 Mbps, making the cable useful for everyday transfers as well as charging. Its USB-C-to-USB-C design suits devices such as iPhone 15 models, Samsung Galaxy S23 phones, Google Pixel phones and MacBook Pro or Air models listed for compatibility. It also works with other devices that have USB-C ports.

The built-in E-Marker chip adjusts voltage and current to match the connected devices’ power requirements. That gives the cable a role in a compatible charging setup, while the braided construction provides a distinctive outer finish. With two cables in the pack, one can stay at a desk while the other is kept with a separate device setup. Buyer feedback is positive about cable quality and length, while comments on connectivity are less favourable. Views on reliability, durability, charging speed, fit and value are mixed.

Getting the most from it

Pair a cable with a USB-C charger and a device that supports USB-C charging. The power delivered depends on the connected equipment, so use a charger appropriate for the device you are charging. For data transfers, connect both devices through their USB-C ports and allow for the stated rate of up to 480 Mbps. This cable does not support video output, so it is intended for charging and data rather than sending a display signal.

Usage tips

The male-to-male connectors make the cable suitable for direct USB-C connections between a charger and a device, or between compatible devices when transferring data. At home or at a workstation, the two-cable pack can help keep a charging cable available in separate locations. It can also be packed for travel alongside USB-C electronics. Check that the device and charger use USB-C connections before setting up a charging or syncing connection.

Should you buy it?

Choose this JMROY set if you want two braided USB-C-to-USB-C cables for charging and routine data syncing across compatible phones, tablets and laptops. The E-Marker chip supports communication of device power requirements, and the 480 Mbps transfer rate gives it a defined role for file transfers. It makes sense if you need a pair of cables for separate everyday setups and do not need video output from the cable.
