UGREEN 30205 USB-C Extension Cable, 10Gbps, 100W, 3.3 ft, Grey

Highlights

At 3.3 ft, this grey USB-C extension cable adds reach between a USB-C device and its connection point. Its male-to-female design can make a desktop setup easier to arrange and help reduce frequent unplugging at a device’s port. Choose it to extend an existing connection, for a setup that needs extra ports, a USB-C hub is the more suitable approach.

The cable supports data transfer up to 10Gbps and charging up to 100W (20V/5A). Its braided nylon exterior suits everyday indoor connections, whether you’re linking a laptop to an external SSD or positioning a charger within easier reach. It can also carry video at up to 4K@60Hz when the connected source and display support USB-C video input and output.

Buyers often describe the cable as a useful extender with sturdy-feeling construction. Feedback on compatibility, charging and data transfer varies across individual setups, so these functions depend on the connected devices and their ports.

Who it’s for

This extension cable is suited to people who want more flexibility in where they place USB-C peripherals without replacing the cable or connection they already use. For example, you can position an external SSD more conveniently beside a laptop, or extend a connection to a USB-C hub or charging adapter. The male-to-female format keeps the setup straightforward: plug the male connector into the device or cable connection, then connect the existing USB-C accessory to the female end.

It works with USB-C devices such as laptops, phones, tablets, docking stations and charging adapters, subject to the capabilities of the connected equipment. The manufacturer specifically excludes Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 hubs and docks, so this is not the right extension for those hub or dock connections.

Everyday use

A short extension can help keep a workstation tidier when a port is awkward to reach or a peripheral needs to sit somewhere more accessible. The 3.3 ft length offers added placement flexibility while keeping the link compact for a desk setup. It can serve charging, data-transfer and compatible video connections, rather than being limited to one kind of USB-C accessory.

For charging, the cable is rated for up to 100W and 5A. For file transfers, it supports speeds up to 10Gbps, actual operation depends on the connected devices and their supported functions. For a monitor connection, the source device and display must both support video over USB-C for the stated video output to apply. These distinctions help match the extension to the task, whether the priority is convenient charging, access to an external drive or a more flexible display connection.
