Snowkids RM 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable, 25 Feet, Braided, 48 Gbps

Everyday use

For a gaming setup, home theatre or presentation system that needs a longer HDMI connection, the Snowkids RM cable provides 25 feet of reach. Its HDMI 2.1 bandwidth of 48 Gbps supports video formats up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz, making it suitable for connecting compatible consoles, computers, TVs, monitors and projectors. The cable’s braided exterior and round shape make it a practical fit for routing between components in an indoor setup.

It also supports HDR, 3D, Ethernet and eARC. In a compatible home theatre, eARC can carry audio between connected devices, while the cable’s stated Ethernet support adds another HDMI feature for compatible equipment.

Pros

The high bandwidth and support for 4K at 120 Hz are useful for gaming systems and displays that can take advantage of that format. The cable also supports variable refresh rate, which can help compatible gaming equipment adjust the refresh rate as scenes change. For movies and other visual content, support for 8K at 60 Hz, dynamic HDR and 12-bit colour processing gives compatible source devices and displays the connection features needed for those formats.

Construction details include an aluminium-alloy shell, a reinforced anti-bending design at the cable tail and 24K gold-plated plugs. These features provide practical details to consider when selecting a cable for regular connection between components. Buyers often praise its build and picture quality, while feedback on video quality and durability is mixed, individual results can depend on the connected equipment and setup.

What to know

This is a male-to-male HDMI cable with 19 pins, a grey braided finish and a 25-foot length. Its HDMI 2.1 connection is backward compatible with HDMI 2.0b, 2.0a, 1.4, 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1 equipment. The cable can connect compatible HDMI-equipped devices, including gaming consoles, laptops, Blu-ray players, TVs and projectors. The source device and display must also support the resolution, refresh rate and features you want to use, the cable itself does not add capabilities to equipment that lacks them.

Choose it when you need an extended HDMI run with support for modern gaming and home-theatre formats. For a shorter connection or a setup with basic display needs, a simpler cable may suit the installation, the Snowkids model brings more bandwidth and feature support for compatible equipment.
