Monster Open Ear AC312 Wireless Earbuds, Bluetooth 5.4, 16 mm Drivers, White

For a gym session, walk or commute, the Monster Open Ear AC312 lets you listen while staying aware of what is happening around you. Its open-ear design rests on top of the ear rather than sitting inside it. Choose this style when comfort and awareness matter more than the enclosed feel of traditional earbuds. Bluetooth 5.4, 16 mm drivers and an ENC microphone bring music and calls together in one wireless pair.

The open fit is the defining feature: you can enjoy music or a podcast without placing an earbud inside the ear canal. The 16 mm drivers are designed to deliver stereo sound with robust bass, while the ENC microphone helps filter environmental noise and pick up your voice during calls. That makes the AC312 useful for switching between listening and taking a call without changing devices or putting on a separate headset.

What it works with

Connect wirelessly over Bluetooth to compatible smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers and MP3 players. That gives you flexibility to use the same earbuds for a phone call, a playlist during a workout or audio at your desk. The stated Bluetooth range is 10 metres, which supports everyday listening when your connected device is nearby. For a reliable connection, pair the earbuds with the device you plan to use and keep it within range.

Everyday use

The open-ear fit suits situations where you want audio without fully tuning out your surroundings. Wear them for a walk, a gym routine, cycling or hiking, or keep them on for calls and podcasts while working. Unlike in-ear earbuds, this design rests on the ear, which can be a more comfortable-feeling approach for listeners who prefer not to have earpieces inserted. It also makes the AC312 a practical choice when staying attentive to nearby sounds is part of the routine.

For exercise, IPX5 water resistance adds protection for use around sweat and water splashes. The earbuds are described as secure during intense exercise, and their wireless connection keeps listening cable-free as you move. With up to 32 hours of playtime stated, they can support extended listening across daily activities, actual listening time can vary with use. The case and USB charging cable are listed among the built-in media, so the package provides a place to store the earbuds and a cable for charging.

What to clarify

How do the earbuds sit? The open-ear design rests gently on top of your ears rather than inserting into the ear canal, so you can listen while remaining aware of your surroundings.

Are they suitable for calls? Yes. The built-in ENC microphone is designed to filter environmental noise and pick up your voice, making the earbuds suitable for calls as well as music and podcasts.

Can you use them for workouts? They are intended for sports and exercise, including running, cycling and hiking, and have an IPX5 water-resistance rating. This makes them suited to active use where sweat or splashes may be present.

Should you buy it?

Worth considering if you want wireless earbuds for workouts, commutes and everyday calls, but prefer an open fit over an in-ear design. The AC312 brings together awareness of your surroundings, a call-focused ENC microphone, 16 mm drivers and up to 32 hours of stated playtime. It is a particularly practical match for listeners who want music or calls to accompany movement without giving up the open-ear feel.
