JBL Charge 6 JBLCHARGE6TBLUAM Portable Bluetooth Speaker, Turquoise

At 22.9 cm wide, the JBL Charge 6 brings portable Bluetooth sound to patios, trips and gatherings. Its turquoise finish adds a distinctive touch, while the built-in powerbank can charge a cell phone as your music plays. With up to 28 hours of playtime, it is ready for extended listening away from an outlet.

Pros

JBL Pro Sound combines rich bass with clear higher frequencies, and AI Sound Boost analyses music in real time to help deliver strong acoustic performance with less distortion. That makes the Charge 6 a practical choice for filling a room or bringing music outdoors, without needing a larger home speaker. Its rated maximum output power is 45 watts.

The rugged design is waterproof, dustproof and drop-proof, giving you more flexibility for travel and outdoor get-togethers. JBL’s stated testing includes submersion in up to 1.5 metres of freshwater for up to 30 minutes, and a drop from 1 metre onto concrete. A built-in powerbank adds everyday utility: charge a mobile device while continuing to listen. Customers also speak positively about the sound and portable format, while the JBL app provides an additional way to control the speaker.

Usage tips

Pair the speaker with a compatible phone, tablet, laptop or desktop over Bluetooth for music at home or on the move. For a wider soundstage, pair two Charge 6 speakers in stereo, Auracast also lets you connect multiple compatible JBL speakers to share the same playlist over a larger area. These options work well for a gathering where one speaker is handy for personal listening and a linked setup can spread music across more space.

Use JBL Playtime Boost when you want to extend listening time beyond the stated 24 hours on a single charge, up to 28 hours. The built-in powerbank is intended for mobile devices, so you can top up a cell phone without pausing the music, it does not support charging laptop computers.

What to clarify

Can it connect to a phone or tablet? Yes. Bluetooth connectivity supports compatible smartphones and tablets, as well as desktops and laptops.

Can I connect more than one speaker? Yes. Auracast supports stereo pairing between two Charge 6 speakers and connection to multiple Auracast-enabled JBL speakers for shared playback.

Can the powerbank charge a laptop? No. The built-in powerbank is for mobile devices and does not support laptop charging.

When it makes sense

Choose the Charge 6 when you want one portable speaker for everyday listening, travel or a party, with the added convenience of a phone-charging powerbank. Its rugged, waterproof construction suits settings where dust, splashes or an accidental drop are part of the practical considerations. For a wider soundstage or music across a larger gathering, its Auracast features provide a clear reason to build a connected speaker setup. The turquoise finish rounds out a capable travel-friendly package with sound, extended playtime and device charging in one speaker.
