House: Season Eight DVD, Bilingual English and French Audio, Bonus Features
Product description
Choosing a TV season on disc is about more than having the episodes in one place: audio options and extras can shape how you revisit the story. House: Season Eight brings the series to its final chapter, with English and French audio and bonus features from the production.
The season follows Dr. Gregory House back at Princeton-Plainsboro, where a new chain of command and changes to his team set the stage for fresh medical cases and personal challenges. It includes all 22 final-season episodes, with a total runtime of 16 hours and 7 minutes.
Technical details
This is a DVD-Video release in NTSC format, with English and French audio in Dolby Digital 5.1. The disc is subtitled, and the Canadian Home Video Rating is ages 14 and over. Its bonus content includes House, M.D. Swan Song, The Doctor Directs: Behind the Scenes with Hugh Laurie and Everybody Dies: A Postmortem.
Tips for day-to-day use
For a straightforward watch, start with the episodes and follow the season through to its conclusion. If you want to spend more time with the show after the finale, the included behind-the-scenes and postmortem features offer additional material focused on Hugh Laurie and the series’ ending. Want to hear the dialogue in English or French? Select the preferred audio track in your player’s disc menu when available.
As an NTSC DVD-Video release, this set is intended for playback with a DVD setup that supports that format. Its physical-disc format suits viewers who prefer to keep a season together and return to particular episodes or extras, rather than relying on a streaming catalogue.
Usage tips
Use the disc menu to choose an episode or bonus feature, and select an audio option before playback. The release lists English and French Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, so the choice is useful for households with different language preferences. Subtitles are also listed, available subtitle choices can be selected through the disc or player menu.
The extras work well after the finale: The Doctor Directs looks behind the scenes with Hugh Laurie, while Everybody Dies: A Postmortem centres on the series’ closing chapter. Keeping those features alongside the episodes makes this more than a season-only set for viewers who enjoy exploring how a long-running show wraps up.
When it makes sense
This DVD suits House fans who want the complete eighth and final season in a physical collection, as well as viewers looking for both English and French audio on the same release. The 22 episodes provide the full concluding run, while the bonus features add context around its production and ending. For anyone revisiting Dr. House’s last cases or completing a series collection, it brings the final season and its related extras together in one set.
