Acer SB222Q Ebi 21.5-inch Full HD IPS Monitor with FreeSync and 100Hz
Product description
Where it shines
The frameless 21.5-inch display gives your desk a clean look while keeping the screen’s edges visually unobtrusive. Full HD resolution makes text, web pages and video clear for everyday work and entertainment. Want smoother-looking motion during games or fast-moving scenes? The 100Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync help deliver a more fluid viewing experience by synchronizing frames with a compatible graphics card.
Its 16:9 IPS display has a matte finish and a 178-degree viewing angle, making it a practical fit for a personal workspace where you may shift position or share what’s on screen. The slim design also helps conserve desk space and works well in a side-by-side monitor arrangement. Connect a device with HDMI or VGA output, the monitor has one input of each type.
Buyer feedback often highlights the clear, bright picture and compact size for work. Experiences with setup vary, and some buyers mention connection frustrations. For a straightforward desk setup, match the computer’s available video output to the monitor’s HDMI or VGA input.
Key takeaways
Full HD at 1920 x 1080 keeps documents, websites and entertainment detailed on the 21.5-inch screen. The 100Hz refresh rate supports smoother motion, while the 1ms VRB response time is designed to reduce blur in fast-moving scenes. AMD FreeSync synchronizes the monitor’s frame rate with a compatible graphics card to help reduce screen tearing and stuttering.
The zero-frame design makes the screen area feel more open and is useful when placing monitors together. A matte screen finish helps keep the display suitable for a range of everyday indoor viewing conditions. An HDMI cable is included, along with a power cord, quick-start guide and warranty card.
Practical tips
For a home-office or study setup, use the HDMI input with the included HDMI cable when your computer has an HDMI output. The VGA input offers another connection option for devices with VGA output. If you plan to use FreeSync, connect a compatible graphics card and monitor through a supported video connection. The monitor is also described as wall-mountable, offering an alternative to placing it on a desk.
