Vewaci 8109 Wall-Mounted Key Lock Box, 12-Digit Combination Lock

If you need a shared place for spare keys, this wall-mounted lock box offers code-controlled access and room for multiple keys or access cards. Its mechanical combination lock suits entry points where people need to retrieve a key without coordinating a handoff. Choose it for an organized, fixed storage spot rather than an improvised hiding place.

At a glance

The Vewaci 8109 combines a wall-mount design with a customizable combination lock. Its 12-digit keypad supports a personal access code, the setup guidance recommends using 4–8 digits for a balance of memorability and security. The oversized numeric buttons are designed for straightforward use, including in low light.

The storage chamber measures 4.13 x 2.36 x 1.77 inches and holds 17.25 cubic inches. Built-in hooks help keep standard keys in place, while the large opening makes it easier to reach stored items. The manufacturer describes the exterior shield as protecting the keypad from rain, dust, and UV exposure, and lists the box as water resistant. Overall dimensions are 2.36 inches deep, 3.74 inches wide, and 5.9 inches high.

Buyer feedback commonly appreciates the ease of mounting and setting a code, along with the box’s durability and usefulness for key storage. Feedback on the locking mechanism is mixed, with some buyers reporting difficulty unlocking it. That experience is worth keeping in mind when choosing a shared access method.

Tips for day-to-day use

Mount the box on an exterior wall or another suitable access point using the supplied screws and extension anchors. Set a code that intended users can remember, then record it securely or take a photo after setting it, as the product guidance recommends. This simple step can help prevent being locked out after a code change.

For routine use, return keys to the built-in hooks so they stay organized and easy to retrieve. The protective shield is designed for outdoor exposure, making the lock box useful near a doorway, garage, or other location where authorized users need access. Keep the code limited to the people who need it and update it when access arrangements change.

Best use cases

This box is suited to households that share a spare key, property managers coordinating access, and families who want a designated place for keys. It can also support scheduled visits from home-service providers or emergency entry when an authorized person needs to retrieve a spare. The combination access offers a practical alternative to arranging a physical key handoff each time someone needs entry.

Its capacity is intended for multiple standard keys, car keys, and access cards. For a shared property, the hooks help separate keys inside the chamber, while the wall-mounted format keeps storage in a consistent location. Choose a placement that is convenient for authorized users and use a code-sharing routine that fits the people who rely on it.

Should you buy it?

The Vewaci 8109 is a practical fit when your priority is accessible, code-controlled storage for spare keys at a home, office, garage, or rental property. Its wall-mount installation, internal hooks, and 17.25-cubic-inch chamber address the everyday need to store several access items together. It makes sense if you want a dedicated outdoor key-sharing point instead of relying on informal hiding spots or repeated handoffs.
