Veise Keyless Entry Deadbolt Matte Black

If you want keyless access for everyday arrivals, this Veise deadbolt adds keypad entry and a handle set, if your priority is a connected smart-home system, the listed features focus instead on codes, locking modes, and backup keys. It supports individual user codes as well as one-time passwords for people who need temporary access, such as a dog walker or cleaner. The practical appeal is straightforward: you can stop handing out spare keys, while still keeping physical keys available if the batteries run out.

Technical details

The keypad stores up to 20 user codes and one master code, and the product description says it can generate unlimited one-time passwords that delete after use. A backlit keypad is intended to make entry easier at night. To discourage someone watching you enter your code, the anti-peep feature lets you add random digits before or after it. After 10 consecutive incorrect attempts, the keypad locks out for 3 minutes.

Auto-lock can be set to secure the door 10–99 seconds after closing. For an immediate lock, hold any keypad key for 2 seconds, inside, the knob turns to lock or unlock. Passage mode disables auto-lock for times when you want the door to remain unlocked, while vacation mode disables user codes and allows access through the master code or a key. Silent mode quiets entry while retaining critical alerts. The lock has an ANSI/BHMA Grade 3 certification, zinc alloy construction, and an IP54 weatherproof rating. It runs on 4 AA batteries, with a low-power indicator and two backup keys, the maker says the batteries last over a year.

Requirements

The stated fit is for U.S. standard left- or right-handed doors that are 1-3/8"–2" thick and have a 2-1/8" hole diameter. It is listed for interior and entry doors. Check those measurements against your door before choosing it, the keypad features do not make an incompatible door fit. Installation is described as screwdriver-only, with a manual and video guide included, but the listing does not establish how easy every door setup will be.

Usage tips

For a short visit, assign a one-time password rather than sharing a regular household code. When everyone is home for a gathering, passage mode avoids repeated locking, switch back to auto-lock afterward if you want the door to secure itself. For example, someone carrying grocery bags can enter by keypad and let the deadbolt lock after the selected delay, instead of setting bags down to find a key. Keep the backup keys accessible somewhere other than inside the locked home, and replace the batteries when the red indicator warns of low power.

A solid pick if you want keypad access with temporary codes, automatic locking, and physical backup keys in one door set. Not the best choice if your main requirement is a feature not listed here, such as app control, or if your door falls outside the stated measurements.

Questions before you buy

Can visitors get a code that does not remain active? The product supports one-time passwords that automatically delete after use, which suits occasional access better than sharing a regular user code.

What happens if the batteries die? The listing includes two keys for backup entry. It also describes a red low-battery warning, so there is a chance to respond before power runs out.

Can the lock stay unlocked during a gathering? Yes. Passage mode disables auto-lock, so the door can remain unlocked until you change the mode.

Should you buy it?

Choose this Veise set if your door matches the listed measurements and you want practical code-based access without giving every visitor a permanent key. Its modes cover common routines, from a temporary cleaner visit to keeping the door unlocked during a gathering. The tradeoff is that the product information centers on keypad operation and does not list app-based features, buyers who need those should look for a lock whose specifications explicitly include them.
