Veise Smart Front Door Lock Set, Satin Nickel

If you want several ways to manage who can enter, this Veise smart front door lock set puts fingerprint, PIN, app, fob, and key access in one package. If you prioritize hands-free keyless entry, fingerprint access may be the draw, if you prefer fewer connected features, a basic keypad deadbolt may be simpler.

A quick example: a family member can use a fingerprint while a visitor gets a temporary code, so you don’t have to hand over a physical key.

Where it shines

The VE017-D is designed for homes, rentals, and other properties where access changes from person to person. The KK Home app lets you add, rename, or remove fingerprints, manage permissions, and create temporary, permanent, or recurring codes. The listing says it supports more than 100 passcodes, with activity logs and alerts for door events.

Access options include fingerprint, app, fob card, PIN, shared codes, and a mechanical key. Voice control through Alexa or Google requires the Veise G1 Gateway, sold separately, the listing also ties remote access, real-time logs, and lock-status monitoring to that gateway. That distinction matters if you expect to manage the lock when you’re away from home.

Key points

The lock includes a touchscreen keypad and a deadbolt with lever handle. Its listed protections include a privacy-code feature that lets you add digits around your PIN, plus alerts and a temporary lockout after 10 consecutive incorrect attempts. The listing describes fingerprint recognition as learning from use, but that claim doesn’t tell you how it will perform for every household member or in every situation.

Auto-lock can be set in the app from 0–180 seconds. The lock runs on 4 AA/LR6 alkaline batteries, which are not included, battery life is listed at about 12 months and may vary with use. A low-battery light and USB-C emergency port are also specified. Access data is described as encrypted and stored on the lock, rather than in the cloud.

One practical buying check is door fit: the provided details don’t give measurements, so compatibility can’t be confirmed without that measurement. You’ll appreciate it if you want flexible entry methods and app-based user management. It may not suit you if you want remote monitoring or voice control without buying the separate gateway, or if you’d rather avoid battery-powered access hardware.

Best use cases

This setup makes the most sense where different people need different kinds of access: household members can use fingerprints, while a guest or sitter can receive a time-limited code. For a rental host or property manager, the ability to change permissions and review entry records may be more useful than a lock with only a key or a single shared PIN.

The satin nickel finish gives the set a defined look, but the listing doesn’t provide dimensions or installation details to assess how it will fit a particular door. If you’re choosing between this connected approach and a simpler deadbolt, weigh the app-based access tools against the extra gateway requirement for remote features and the need to supply batteries.

When it makes sense

Choose the VE017-D if multiple entry methods and changing user access solve a real day-to-day problem, and you’re comfortable checking door fit and supplying batteries. Skip it if you want a straightforward lock without app management, or if remote control is essential but you don’t want to add the separately sold G1 Gateway.
