The Nun II 883929806881 DVD, NTSC Horror Movie with English Audio

Some horror fans want a story they can watch on its own, others prefer a sequel that brings familiar characters and a continuing supernatural threat back to the screen. The Nun II follows Sister Irene as she faces Valak again, giving viewers a direct continuation of the conflict introduced in The Nun.

Set in France in 1956, the story begins with a priest’s murder and the spread of an evil force. This DVD presents the film in NTSC format, with English and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 audio and French and Spanish subtitles.

Why it’s worth it

The appeal here is the return to Sister Irene’s struggle with Valak, the demonic force known as the Demon Nun. Taissa Farmiga returns as Irene, with Jonas Bloquet as Maurice, another survivor of an encounter with Valak. Storm Reid plays Sister Debra, a novice who joins Irene on her journey. For viewers drawn to the characters and supernatural mythology of The Nun, this sequel continues that thread rather than starting with an unrelated horror premise.

The film’s two-hour runtime gives the story room to follow the threat as it spreads. Customer reactions to the sequel are varied: some praise it as an entertaining continuation and a welcome addition to the Conjuring universe, while opinions on its scariness and storyline differ. That makes it a natural fit for viewers who are interested in the characters and ongoing supernatural story, as well as those who enjoy discussing how a horror sequel develops its world.

Key points

The story centers on Sister Irene’s second confrontation with Valak, with Maurice returning and Sister Debra joining the journey. Its France, 1956 setting and the opening murder establish the circumstances behind the spreading evil. Rather than choosing a horror film with an entirely new cast and premise, viewers looking for continuity can follow familiar characters into another encounter with the Demon Nun.

The disc is a DVD in NTSC format. Audio is listed in English and Spanish in Dolby Digital 5.1, and subtitles are available in French and Spanish. The listed runtime is two hours, and the movie is rated NR (Not Rated). These details help viewers choose the language and subtitle options that suit their movie night. The credited cast includes Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, Storm Reid, and Anna Popplewell, Michael Chaves is credited as director.

Practical tips

For a viewing focused on the dialogue, select the preferred audio and subtitle options available on the disc. English and Spanish audio are listed, alongside French and Spanish subtitles, so viewers can choose among those provided language tracks. The two-hour runtime also makes it easy to plan a dedicated feature-length horror viewing rather than a brief episode or short-form watch.

If you’re choosing between a fresh horror story and a continuation of an existing one, this release is geared toward the latter: its central draw is Irene’s return to the Valak storyline, with Maurice and Sister Debra involved in the journey. It suits viewers who want the next chapter in that supernatural conflict and appreciate having both English and Spanish audio options.

Final verdict

The Nun II is a focused choice for horror viewers who want Sister Irene’s story to continue on DVD. Its returning characters, Valak-centered plot, France-set premise, and listed language options give it a clear place in a movie collection for fans following this supernatural series. Choose it for a feature-length sequel built around Irene’s renewed confrontation with the Demon Nun.
