Soimeat 32" x 55" Frosted PET Chair Mat for Carpet and Hard Floors

Set up a home office or desk area where your chair needs a firm surface over carpet or a hard floor. The Soimeat mat is a rigid PET board with a frosted finish. Its 32" x 55" footprint provides a defined area for chair movement. It arrives flat and ready to place, rather than rolled for later flattening.

What to know

Made from hard PET, this 0.14-inch-thick mat is designed to protect the floor beneath an office chair and provide a rolling surface. The frosted, sandblasted texture gives the clear mat a subtle finish that helps mask everyday scuffs. Its rectangular shape suits the space beneath a desk, and the listed maximum load capacity is 1,200 pounds.

This is a rigid chair mat, not a flexible floor covering. That makes it a practical fit when you want a stable board under a desk rather than a mat that can be folded or rolled for storage. The mat weighs 12 pounds, and its flat-shipped design means there is no unrolling or flattening step before use. Remove the protective film from the underside before placing it.

How it fits

Measuring 32" wide by 55" long, the mat is sized to sit in the chair zone beneath a desk. It is listed for carpet and hard floors, including hardwood and tile. For placement, the package includes two sets of anti-slip stickers: triangular stickers intended for loop-pile carpet and square stickers for hard floors. Using the set designed for your surface helps keep the mat positioned where you need it as you work.

For a practical setup, position the mat so the chair can roll within its surface while you move between the desk and nearby work area. The frosted finish keeps the surface visually understated, while the rigid construction creates a firm base over carpet or flooring. Choose this style when a firm, flat chair surface matters more than having a mat that can be rolled away.

Who it’s for

This mat is suited to people setting up a computer workstation at home or in an office, especially when a chair sits over carpet and needs a firm surface beneath it. Its clear finish and rectangular footprint also work for desk areas on hardwood or tile. Buyers have praised its sturdiness, size, and use on carpet, while feedback about whether it stays put is mixed, particularly on high-pile carpet. Reports about durability are also varied. The included surface-specific stickers provide a practical way to secure the mat according to the floor type.

When it makes sense

Choose the Soimeat mat when you want a rigid, flat chair surface in a 32" x 55" format for a carpeted or hard-floor desk area. It brings together a frosted PET surface, a 0.14-inch thickness, and designated anti-slip stickers for carpet and hard floors. For a work-from-home desk or office station, those features give you a straightforward way to define and protect the area where your chair moves.
