SightPro SP-PSM14MP21 / PFNAP011 Magnetic Privacy Screen for 14-inch MacBook Pro

Some work sessions call for an open view of the screen, others make it important to keep on-screen information private from people nearby. The SightPro magnetic privacy screen is made for the 14-inch MacBook Pro, attaching at the top with magnets so it can be removed and reattached as your setting changes.

Its multilayer microlouver film darkens the display when viewed from the side while maintaining a clear straight-on view. It also helps protect the screen from scratches and reduces UV and blue light, making it a practical addition for working in shared spaces or traveling with your MacBook.

Quick sizing guide

This screen is designed for the 14.2-inch display on specified 14-inch MacBook Pro models. Match your laptop’s model number to the list below before choosing it, since the product is made for those particular versions rather than every MacBook. The magnetic attachment is intended for quick placement along the top edge, and the screen can be removed when you want an unobstructed display or stored in its folder between uses.

Compatible model numbers are A2442, A2779, A2918, A2992, A3112, A3185, A3401, A3426, A3427, and A3434. The listed model range covers MacBook Pro 14-inch versions from 2021 onward, including M1 through M5 configurations. For travel days, shared offices, or campus study areas, the removable format lets you add side-view privacy when you need it and take the filter off afterward.

Why it’s worth it

The key advantage is having a privacy filter that attaches magnetically instead of relying on a permanent installation. That makes it convenient for a MacBook that moves between private work and public settings. When you’re working on a train, in an airport, or at a shared table, the side-view filter helps limit casual viewing of sensitive work. It does not block visibility for someone directly behind you, so position your screen with your surroundings in mind.

The glossy-and-matte surface offers a choice of finish characteristics, while the film’s 2H hardness and scratch-protection feature add a protective layer over the display. A cleaning cloth and reusable double-sided adhesive are included, along with a storage folder for keeping the screen together with your laptop accessories. The filter is also water resistant.

Buyer feedback commonly highlights the quick snap-on setup and privacy effect. Opinions are more mixed on how securely it stays in place, how closely it fits, and its glare performance, so careful alignment with a compatible model is part of getting a useful fit.
