SightPro SP-PSB156169 15.6-Inch Laptop Privacy Filter, 16:9 Anti-Glare

For mobile workers, students, and anyone handling sensitive information in shared spaces, this SightPro privacy filter helps keep a laptop display less visible from the side. Its 16:9 format is designed for a 15.6-inch screen, and the layered film maintains a clear view when you look straight at the display while helping reduce glare.

Choose this screen filter when you want privacy on the go, for a display that remains equally visible from every angle, a standard clear protector serves a different purpose. Two mounting methods let you choose between a more fixed attachment and one that can be removed as needed.

Technical overview

• Type: Laptop privacy screen filter with anti-glare protection
• Format: 15.6-inch diagonal, 16:9 aspect ratio
• Dimensions: 13 9/16 inches wide by 7 5/8 inches high
• Material: Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)
• Screen surface: Glossy and matte
• Hardness: 9H
• Included: Privacy filter, two sets of clear adhesive strips, two sets of slide mount tabs, and a microfiber cleaning cloth

The privacy effect is intended to restrict side-angle viewing while keeping the display clear when viewed straight on. The film also helps reduce glare and is described as providing UV and blue-light protection. It does not block visibility for someone positioned directly behind you, so it is best suited to settings where the main concern is viewing from the sides, such as an airplane seat, airport, subway, or shared office.

Requirements

Match the filter to the laptop screen’s width and height as well as its 15.6-inch diagonal and 16:9 ratio. SightPro advises checking the screen measurements rather than choosing by diagonal size alone. The filter is not optimized for touchscreens. Confirming the display dimensions before ordering helps you select the intended fit across compatible laptop brands.

Usage tips

For a more permanent installation, use the clear adhesive strips. If you want to remove the filter between work sessions, the slide mount tabs provide an on-and-off option. Align the filter carefully with the display during installation, and use the included microfiber cloth for cleaning. In a public setting, position the laptop so nearby people are viewing from the side rather than directly behind you to make use of the filter’s intended privacy angle.

Buyer feedback highlights the privacy effect as a useful feature, while fit and attachment experiences are mixed. Some customers also report different impressions of the anti-glare effect and screen brightness. Taking the screen’s exact measurements and choosing the mounting method that suits your routine can help guide the purchase and setup.

Before you decide

How do I check whether it fits my laptop? Measure the visible screen width and height, then compare them with the filter’s 13 9/16-by-7 5/8-inch dimensions. The intended screen format is 15.6 inches diagonal with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Can I remove the filter after installation? Yes. The slide mount tabs are designed to let you slide the filter on and off. The alternative is to attach it with the clear adhesive strips.

Does it make the display private from every direction? It restricts viewing from the sides while preserving a straight-on view. Someone directly behind you may still see the screen.

Final verdict

This SightPro filter is suited to 15.6-inch, 16:9 laptop users who want added side-view privacy in shared or travel settings, with a choice of adhesive or removable mounting. Its measured dimensions, dual installation options, and glare-reducing film make it a practical fit for protecting on-screen work during everyday mobile use.
