Pravoluxmax 236-Inch Retractable Baby Gate, 42-Inch Tall Reinforced Mesh

Use it to section off a wide doorway, stairway, or patio entrance while keeping a clear path when the gate is retracted. The mesh adjusts to openings up to 236 inches wide. Its 42-inch height and reinforced support strips suit spaces shared by children and pets. Indoor and outdoor installation gives you flexibility around the home.

Getting the most from it

Adjust the mesh across an opening from 0 to 236 inches, then retract it when you want the passage clear. This flexible span is useful for broad or irregular areas where a fixed-width gate may not suit the opening. Place it at an entry to a garage, deck, hallway, or stairway to create a barrier between everyday living areas and spaces you want to separate.

The mesh and door have separate locks, so the entrance can be opened without first unlocking the mesh. A one-touch release operates the mesh lock. The 42-inch height also makes the gate easier to reach while standing than a shorter barrier, and fiberglass support strips help keep the mesh from sagging and support smooth retraction. For installation, the movable brackets accommodate different baseboard heights. Drilling is required for installation and added stability.

Benefits

The wide adjustable mesh lets one gate serve large openings around the home, from a garage entrance to a patio access point. When retracted, it takes up less space and does not obstruct the passage, making it practical for areas that people use throughout the day. The reinforced mesh combines polyester and PVC with fiberglass support strips, the mesh is described as scratch-resistant, breathable, translucent, waterproof, and flame-resistant.

Separate mesh and door locks provide two distinct controls at the entrance, while the one-touch mesh release keeps the locking action straightforward. The brackets can move to accommodate different baseboard heights, which helps position the gate during installation. Secure the brackets by drilling, particularly where a stable barrier is important near stairs or other areas you want to keep separated.

When it makes sense

Choose this retractable gate when a standard fixed-width barrier does not cover the opening you need to manage. Its adjustable span works for broad entrances, and its indoor/outdoor design supports placement in rooms, hallways, garages, patios, decks, and backyards. A family can retract the mesh for access, then extend it across the opening to separate children or pets from the area beyond. The tall, reinforced mesh and flexible width make it a practical fit for households looking to manage access across larger openings without leaving a gate in the way when it is not in use.
