FDW Dog Crate 18-Inch Foldable Metal Dog Crate, Dark Black, with Divider

For a puppy’s indoor routine or a small dog’s familiar spot while traveling, the FDW Dog Crate creates a contained space that can be folded flat when it is time to store or move it.

Its metal wire frame has a single door with dual latches, and a removable plastic tray helps keep everyday cleanup manageable. A divider adds flexibility as you set up the crate for your dog.

Choose this portable format when you need a crate that can move between home and travel, a fixed kennel is a different fit for households looking for a permanent setup. This model measures 18 x 12 x 14 inches and is intended for small dogs.

Highlights

The dark black metal crate combines a foldable frame with practical features for regular use. The door’s dual latches secure it closed, while the removable, leak-proof plastic tray catches spills and can be taken out for wiping or rinsing. That makes it easier to keep the crate’s base clean without moving the whole kennel.

A divider lets you adapt the interior setup, and the crate folds down to a compact 3-inch profile for storage or transport. At 5 pounds, it is designed to be portable around the house or for trips such as road travel and vet visits. Assembly is tool-free, so the panels can be set up without a separate tool kit.

Buyer feedback highlights ease of assembly and everyday functionality, while opinions on sturdiness and construction are mixed. Some buyers also report that operating the door latches can be difficult. These impressions can help set expectations when choosing a crate for your dog’s routine.

How to take care of it

For routine cleanup, slide out the plastic tray and wipe or rinse it before returning it to the crate. This is useful after spills, shedding, or an accident, and lets you clean the base separately. When the crate is not in use, fold it flat for storage or transport. Keeping the tray accessible makes day-to-day care straightforward, especially when the crate is part of a puppy’s indoor routine.

How to use it

Set up the crate indoors as a resting space or as part of a training routine, then use the divider to adjust the available area. Open the single door to let your dog in and out, and engage both latches when closing it. The 18 x 12 x 14-inch size is intended for small dogs, so it is the relevant fit to consider for your pet.

For a trip, fold the frame flat for easier carrying and storage, then set it up again at your destination. At home, the same portable design can be moved to a different room when your dog needs a consistent place nearby. It suits owners who want a compact wire crate with a removable tray and a flexible interior setup rather than a stationary kennel.

Final verdict

The FDW Dog Crate brings together portability, a removable cleanup tray, and a divider in a small-dog format. It is a practical choice for owners who need a crate for indoor routines and occasional travel, with a fold-flat design that is easier to store between uses.
