Zedkeys PC-L-01GY Soft Pet Carrier, 17 x 11 x 11 Inches, Gray

For a vet visit or car ride, the Zedkeys PC-L-01GY gives a cat or small dog a soft-sided place to travel. Need a carrier that can also fold away between outings? Its mesh panels provide ventilation, while the frame helps it keep its shape. The listed maximum pet weight is 16 pounds.

Getting the most from it

At 17 x 11 x 11 inches, this gray carrier is designed for cats, small dogs, and puppies within the stated weight limit. Use the shoulder strap for hands-free carrying or the handle for shorter trips. An internal safety leash helps secure a pet inside, and the side pocket can hold small travel items. For car trips, the strap is also described as usable to secure the carrier to a seat, follow the vehicle and carrier instructions when setting it up.

The body uses 600D Oxford cloth with scratch-resistant mesh and a steel frame. Mesh on three sides supports airflow and lets you see inside, while the frame is intended to help the carrier retain its shape. It also folds for storage when it is not in use. The included three-layer plush cushion is removable and machine washable, which is useful after regular trips or minor messes.

Why it’s worth it

This carrier combines everyday carrying details with a collapsible design, rather than being a rigid travel crate that takes up more room when stored. That makes it a practical format for vet appointments, errands, or keeping a familiar resting spot at home. Its stated uses also include car and air travel, though airline under-seat rules can vary, so confirm the specific carrier requirements before flying.

Buyer feedback is generally positive about the space, soft base, and ability to fold the carrier down. Some customers describe it as sturdy, while others find the structure flimsy, zipper feedback is mixed as well, with some reporting weak zippers. Those differences matter if you expect frequent use or want a carrier that feels especially rigid. The product information lists reinforced zippers and a steel frame, but those features do not remove the mixed feedback about how the carrier feels in practice.

What matters most

The 16-pound maximum is the clearest selection guide: consider your pet’s weight alongside its dimensions and ability to settle comfortably inside. A carrier’s stated weight capacity alone does not confirm that every pet under that limit will have enough room. Customers mention using it for kittens and adult Persian cats, but those reports are individual impressions, not a fit guarantee.

It’s a great fit if you want a soft carrier with a washable cushion, carrying options, and fold-flat storage for occasional trips. It might not be a great match if your priority is a hard-sided carrier or you need a more rigid structure, this is a soft-sided design, and feedback on sturdiness is not uniform.

When it makes sense

Choose the PC-L-01GY when portability and easy storage matter for routine outings, and your pet fits within the stated 16-pound limit. Its shoulder strap, handle, mesh sides, and removable cushion address common travel and cleanup needs without adding a rigid-shell format. For frequent air travel, check the airline’s current carrier rules and under-seat requirements before relying on the listing’s airline-approved description. If you need a firm enclosure for a pet that pushes against carrier walls, a rigid-sided design is the more relevant alternative.
