ChefAide LMFD0011 Lick Mats for Dogs and Cats, 2-Pack, 8.5 x 8.5-Inch

Technical details

For bath time, grooming, or a training session, spread a pet’s favorite treat across the mat and attach it to a smooth surface. The textured design gives dogs, cats, and puppies something to lick while you focus on the task at hand. With two mats in the set, you can keep one ready while the other is being cleaned.

The four surface textures suit spreadable foods such as yogurt and peanut butter, while the pattern encourages slower licking during treat time.

Getting the most from it

Spread a thin layer of a suitable treat over the textured surface, then press the mat onto a clean, flat surface. Its suction cups are designed for smooth areas such as shower tiles, glass, refrigerator doors, and floors. This setup can give a pet an activity during bathing, nail trimming, grooming, training, or medical care, helping keep attention on the treat while you work.

The textured surface also makes the mat useful for serving spreadable treats at a slower pace than a bowl. After use, soak it in warm, soapy water and brush away residue, or place it in the dishwasher. Buyers often highlight the easy cleanup and the way the mats keep pets occupied. Feedback on how securely they stay in place varies, so press the cups firmly onto a smooth surface before use.

In the box

The set includes two lick mats and a spatula. Having two mats makes it practical to prepare another serving while one is in use or being washed. The included spatula is handy for spreading treats across the textured areas.
