heouvo SSDWB2405 1-Gallon Stainless Steel Dog Water Bowl with Floating Disk

For large dogs that drink quickly or leave water around the bowl, the heouvo SSDWB2405 combines a floating disk with a splash-resistant lid to help manage drinking and reduce mess. Its 1-gallon capacity suits large dogs and multi-pet homes, while the stainless steel bowl and silicone-covered base are designed for everyday use indoors, outdoors, and in the car.

The pink bowl’s floating disk dispenses water as your dog drinks, and the lid helps limit splashing and pawing at the water. Use it as a practical alternative to an open bowl when you want a more contained drinking setup.

What matters most

The floating disk is designed to slow drinking by allowing access to water at the surface rather than leaving the bowl fully open. That makes this format especially relevant for dogs that gulp water. The lid adds another layer of splash control and helps keep dogs from removing the disk or digging in the water. For long-haired or long-eared dogs, the covered design can also help keep ears and snouts drier while drinking.

With a 1-gallon capacity, the bowl provides room for large dogs and can serve households with more than one pet. Its stainless steel construction is paired with a silicone-covered bottom that helps keep the bowl steady and protects floors from scratching. The base is also designed to reduce noise as the bowl moves against a surface.

Compared with a basic open water bowl, this design prioritizes a more controlled drinking area and reduced splashing. Buyers highlight its spill-control function, capacity, and ease of cleaning, including its usefulness for dogs that gulp water.

Maintenance

The bowl, lid, and one-piece floating disk are dishwasher safe. The disk is molded as a single piece, so it does not need to be pried open for cleaning. To remove the lid, twist it to unlock, this gives access to the bowl and disk for routine washing. The stainless steel bowl is a practical choice for regular water service, while the pink finish adds a clear color accent to a feeding area or travel setup.

Practical tips

To assemble the lid, align its slots with the three rubber inserts and twist to lock it in place. Twist in the opposite direction to unlock it for cleaning or to remove the lid. The floating disk can be used with the lid for a more contained setup, or without the lid when your dog drinks calmly and you want easier access to the water.

For car trips, the lid and disk help limit splashes from bumps and movement, while the silicone base helps keep the bowl in place. The same combination is suited to indoor and outdoor use, including setups in an RV, truck, or boat. Place the bowl on a stable surface and fill it with fresh water for your dog’s regular drinking routine.

What to clarify

How does the floating disk work? It adjusts as your dog drinks and is designed to slow access to the water while helping keep dust, dirt, and pet hair from falling into the bowl.

Can the bowl be cleaned in a dishwasher? Yes. The stainless steel bowl, lid, and floating disk are listed as dishwasher safe. The one-piece disk does not need to be opened for cleaning.

Can the lid be removed? Yes. Twist it to unlock and remove it. You can also use the bowl without the lid when your dog is comfortable drinking that way.
