belietop LC401XL Compatible Ink Cartridges for Brother, 5-Pack with Two Black

The five-cartridge format includes two black LC401XL cartridges plus one each in cyan, magenta, and yellow. That mix is useful when you want replacement colors on hand as well as an extra black cartridge, rather than buying a single-color replacement.

This is a compatible, high-yield set for select Brother inkjet printers. The stated page yields are estimates at 5% coverage on A4 paper, so actual output depends on what you print.

Where it shines

The set is listed as compatible with the Brother MFC-J1010DW, MFC-J1012DW, MFC-J1170DW, and MFC-J1800DW. If your printer is one of these models, the five-pack gives you black ink for text alongside the three colors for documents that use color. It’s a great fit if you want a bundled replacement set for routine home or office printing, rather than sourcing each color separately.

The listing states up to 560 pages per black cartridge and up to 510 pages per color cartridge, measured at 5% coverage on A4 paper. Those figures can help with planning, but they are not a guarantee for every print job: pages with heavier ink coverage may use ink differently. The black-and-color combination also suits mixed printing needs better than a purchase focused only on black text.

Worth noting

These are compatible cartridges, not Brother-branded originals. The product information says they use upgraded chips intended to support installation and recognition, but it also notes that a printer may show a non-original warning. The supplied guidance is to select OK or Next to continue. If the printer reports low ink, empty, or a replacement warning, the listing advises removing and reinstalling the cartridge several times. That is worth knowing if you prefer cartridges that do not prompt compatibility messages.

The stated compatibility list is specific. Better avoided if your printer model is not one of the four listed, since the product details do not confirm support for other Brother printers. Check the model name on your printer before choosing a compatible cartridge set.

Everyday use

For a household or small workspace that prints both text and color, having all four ink colors in one pack can make restocking straightforward, the second black cartridge provides an additional black replacement. The ink is described as water-based, and the package contains two black cartridges plus cyan, magenta, and yellow. No care or storage instructions are provided, so follow the handling directions included with the cartridges and your printer.

Is it worth it?

This set makes sense if you own one of the listed MFC-J printers and want a compatible five-pack with two black cartridges and the full color set. Its clearest buying advantage is the bundled mix, not a promise of a particular print quality or exact page count. The yield figures are useful reference points, but they are based on 5% coverage on A4 paper and may not reflect pages with large graphics or dense color. If you need Brother-branded original cartridges or have a printer outside the stated compatibility list, this listing does not establish that it meets those needs.
