SoundPEATS Q40 HD Neckband Headphones with LDAC, IP67 Protection and 20-Hour Playtime

For workouts and busy days, the SoundPEATS Q40 HD combines an in-ear neckband design with water and dust protection. LDAC support and 11mm dual-magnet drivers bring high-resolution audio to your Bluetooth listening. Need headphones that can move from a gym session to a commute? The Q40 HD also offers up to 20 hours of playtime and fast charging.

Best use cases

The Q40 HD is suited to fitness, running and everyday listening, with an IP67 rating for protection against dust and water, including sweat and rain. The neckband format keeps the earpieces joined, which is a different approach from separate true-wireless earbuds and may suit listeners who prefer a connected pair around the neck between listening sessions. For a workout, the in-ear fit and water-resistant design make these practical features to have together, afterwards, the same headphones can be used with a phone or tablet for music or films.

They also suit people who want more control over their sound. LDAC handles high-resolution wireless audio, while the 11mm driver combines a PU diaphragm with dual neodymium magnets. Active noise cancellation is included, and the PeatsAudio app provides Dynamic EQ and sound customisation. This gives listeners a choice between using the headphones as they are or adjusting the sound through the app.

What you’ll notice day to day

The 20-hour playtime is designed to cover extended listening, from a series of workouts to a commute and the rest of the day. When time is short, a 10-minute charge provides up to five hours of playback. USB-C is used for charging, and the button controls offer a straightforward way to manage listening without relying solely on the app.

The neckband design is a useful point of difference when choosing between this style and fully wireless earbuds: the two earpieces remain connected. Dual connection is also listed, alongside a Find Earbuds feature and app customisation. These features add useful options for managing the headphones and their sound during everyday use.

Buyer feedback is positive about sound quality, with some also highlighting value. Comments on battery life and durability are mixed, so these are areas where customer experiences vary.
