Soundcore Space A40 A3936RC wireless earbuds with adaptive ANC and Hi-Res audio

Some listeners want earbuds for straightforward music and podcast playback, others need active noise cancelling and a longer listening window for the commute. The Soundcore Space A40 brings both needs together in a lightweight in-ear design. Adaptive noise cancelling, app controls and a compact charging case make it practical for everyday listening.

What matters most

The Space A40 uses adaptive active noise cancelling to respond to surrounding sound, with noise reduction of up to 98% stated for the feature. That can help make music, films and podcasts easier to hear in busy surroundings. For a more immersive listening setup, the earbuds support Hi-Res audio and LDAC, with dynamic drivers and an 11 mm driver size.

Battery life is rated at up to 10 hours from the earbuds and 50 hours in total with the charging case. A 10-minute fast charge is stated to provide up to 4 hours of listening. The case also supports wireless charging, so you can choose that or the supplied USB-C cable. Bluetooth 5.2 provides wireless connection, while the soundcore app lets you customise sound settings and manage playback.

Everyday use

The small, ergonomic earbuds are designed for extended wear, and the package includes XS, S, M, L and XL ear tips to help you find a fit that feels secure. A well-fitted tip can also help create a more comfortable listening experience. The compact case keeps the earbuds together between sessions and adds to the total listening time, making the set convenient to bring along on a commute or keep at your desk.

Customer feedback is positive about sound quality and comfort, while opinions are more mixed on noise cancelling, battery life, fit and durability. That gives useful context if you are weighing comfort and audio features alongside everyday reliability.

Best use cases

For a commute, adaptive noise cancelling can help reduce surrounding distractions, while the case helps extend listening across the day. At home, Hi-Res audio and app-based sound settings offer options for tailoring music and podcasts to your preferences. If simple playback is your main priority, a basic wireless listening setup may be enough, the Space A40 is a better fit when you also want active noise cancelling, app customisation and wireless charging in the same set of earbuds.

It suits you if you want in-ear wireless earbuds for regular listening and value a choice of ear-tip sizes, adjustable sound settings and a charging case that contributes to the 50-hour total playtime.
