SmarTect TPU Screen Protector for Google Pixel 8, with camera protectors

Flexible TPU film helps guard a Google Pixel 8 display against scratches while keeping the screen clear and touch-sensitive. The pack also includes camera protectors and a positioning aid, so it covers more than the display alone. Its glossy finish is designed to preserve the look of the phone. TPU provides basic protection under light stress, rather than the drop protection associated with tempered glass.

Getting the most from it

The included cleaning items and positioning aid are intended to make fitting more straightforward: clean the screen first, then apply the film carefully. The flexible material is described as suitable for curved displays, while the case-friendly design is useful if you plan to keep a phone case fitted. The oleophobic coating helps resist fingerprints and dirt, and the film is designed to retain high touch sensitivity.

Small bubbles may appear during fitting, the product information says these can disappear as the film settles. The package includes two screen films, two camera protectors, wet wipes, a microfibre cloth, anti-dust stickers and an instruction manual. That gives you replacement film and camera protection in the same pack, rather than requiring a separate purchase for the camera area.

Strengths

For everyday handling, the main appeal is the combination of scratch resistance, a clear glossy surface and full display coverage. A flexible film can be a practical choice for a phone with curved screen edges, where a rigid protector may be less suited to the shape. The camera protectors are another useful inclusion if you want to cover both the display and camera lenses with one set.

Worth considering if you want a clear, case-friendly protector for a Google Pixel 8 and value having spare screen film in the pack. It may not suit you if your priority is stronger protection from drops: the supplied product information describes TPU as offering basic protection under light stress, while tempered glass is the more relevant comparison for impact protection.
