PLAYMOBIL 72284 80 Years of Vespa: Iconic Style playset, light blue
Product description
For children aged 5 and up who enjoy imaginative vehicle play, this PLAYMOBIL Vespa set pairs a scooter with a figure and accessories for creating their own scenes.
The light blue Vespa takes its cues from the modern Vespa design, with an anniversary sticker sheet for personalising the number plate and scooter.
It centres on one woman figure, so the play is built around a single character rather than a group of figures. The basket, lemons and extra seat benches offer props for everyday-style stories.
How it fits
This set suits children who like combining vehicles with character-led role play. A child could place the figure in the helmet, load the four lemons into the basket and imagine a trip to the market or a stop along the way. The two benches give the scene additional places to sit, while the sticker sheet adds a hands-on customisation step.
Compared with a vehicle-only toy, this set provides a figure and several accessories to help start a story. It is a more focused choice than a larger playset with several characters: there is one woman figure included. You’ll like it if a Vespa-inspired vehicle and small scene-building details are the main attraction. You may want to skip it if several figures are essential to the play you have in mind.
What you’ll notice day to day
The appeal is in the combination of familiar scooter styling and props that give children a reason to change the scene. The basket and lemons support simple journeys and errands, the helmet, scarf and watch help define the figure’s look. The anniversary logo and historic patent date on the sticker sheet tie the set to its 80th anniversary theme, rather than making it a plain scooter toy.
The set is made from plastic and measures 14.2 x 14.2 x 4.1 centimetres. Those details are useful when considering where it will be stored or played with. Its role is imaginative play around style, design and modern mobility, not a large collection of characters or scenery.

Practical questions
What can children use the sticker sheet for? It includes an 80th anniversary logo and a historic patent date for the number plate, allowing some personalisation of the Vespa.
Are there accessories for making up a scene? Yes. The basket, four lemons and two benches provide props for pretend journeys and everyday stories.
Is the set suited to role play? Yes. It is described for creative role play centred on style, design and modern mobility, with a figure and accessories as well as the scooter.
Is it worth it?
Consider it if the child is drawn to scooters and enjoys inventing stories around a single character. The figure, basket, lemons and customisable anniversary details give the vehicle more play context than a scooter on its own. Its main constraint is also clear: the set includes one figure, so it is best suited to solo character play or play alongside other toys already at home. Within these limits, it is a practical pick for a child who will use the accessories as prompts for imaginative scenes.
