McFarlane Toys 17427 DC Multiverse Azrael Batman (Knightquest), 7-inch figure
Product description
With up to 22 points of articulation, this 7-inch Azrael Batman figure can be posed for display or imaginative play. Its Knightquest design brings Jean-Paul Valley’s time as Batman into a DC Multiverse collection, while the included flaming sword gives the character a distinctive accessory for a display scene.
Made from plastic and finished in multiple colours, the figure comes with a display base and collectible art paper featuring character artwork on the front and a biography on the back. No assembly is required, so it can be taken from its packaging and posed straight away.
Best use cases
This figure suits DC collectors looking to represent the Knightquest version of Batman, as well as fans of Azrael and Jean-Paul Valley. The articulated design makes it possible to change the pose rather than keep the figure in one fixed position, the base helps present it on a shelf, desk or tabletop. For imaginative play, the flaming sword offers a character-specific accessory to build a scene around.
The story connection adds context for collectors: after working with Batman, Jean-Paul Valley takes on the mantle of the Dark Knight when Bruce Wayne is injured, before later returning to his adventures as Azrael. That makes this a focused choice for a display that explores different characters and chapters in Batman’s story, rather than a general Batman figure.

What stands out
The key distinction is the combination of poseability and a specific comic-book identity. A fixed display piece keeps one presentation, this figure’s moving parts let you adjust its stance to suit a shelf arrangement or a scene with other DC Multiverse characters. The included base supports tabletop display, while the sword gives the Knightquest version of Azrael a recognisable detail of its own.
The collectible art paper adds another layer for fans who enjoy character background as well as the figure itself: it pairs artwork with a biography. At 7 inches, the figure has a clear place in a character-led display without making the purchase solely about a static sculpt. What would you rather show: a single fixed pose or a character you can reposition as your collection changes?
