Looxmeer Dog Car Seat, Padded Oxford Seat with Memory Foam and Adjustable Straps

At 45cm x 45cm x 55cm, the Looxmeer is a compact, padded car seat enclosure for dogs. It combines soft memory foam with Oxford fabric and a non-slip base. If your priority is simply keeping paw marks off the upholstery, a flat seat cover is the more direct approach, this design also gives a small dog a defined place to sit or nap. It is listed for front and rear passenger seats and is intended to fit most of them.

Strengths

The raised sides are reinforced and designed to resist collapsing as a dog climbs in or out. That can help keep the seating area more defined than a loose blanket or flat cover, while the padded base offers a softer place to settle during a journey. The non-slip mesh bottom, three adjustable straps and four click fasteners are intended to help keep the seat in position.

An adjustable seat belt is included. The product description does not give crash-test or certification details, so the listed straps and belt should not be treated as a stated crash-safety rating. It also describes the cover as resistant to scratches, hair, drips and splashes, rather than setting out a level of protection against every type of spill.

Highlights

The black cover uses 210D and 600D Oxford fabric, with soft memory foam. Its stated dimensions are 45cm x 45cm x 55cm, and the sides are 25cm high. Three storage bags provide space for dog accessories such as toys or treats, which may be handy when you want those items close by rather than loose on the seat.

It is described as suitable for small and medium dogs, though the dog-breed-size specification lists small. That makes the dimensions worth considering alongside your dog’s size and how they tend to sit or move in the car. It’s a good fit if you want a padded, defined seating area as well as some protection for the vehicle seat. Not the best choice if you need a product explicitly sized for a large dog.

Maintenance

The care instructions say the seat is machine washable. No washing temperature or guidance on removing individual parts is specified, so follow any care label supplied with the product. The stated resistance to drips and splashes may make everyday marks easier to manage, but it is not a substitute for washing when the cover needs a deeper clean.

Practical questions

Can it be used on a front or rear seat? The product is described as suitable for most car passenger seats, both front and rear. Its dimensions are 45cm x 45cm x 55cm, so compare these with the space available in your car before choosing a position.

What helps keep it in place? It has a non-slip mesh base, three adjustable straps and four click fasteners. An adjustable seat belt is also included, the description does not specify a crash-safety rating.

Are storage pockets included? Yes. The product description lists three storage bags for items such as toys, treats and other dog accessories.

Is it worth it?

This seat makes most sense if you want more than a basic cover: it combines a padded resting space, raised sides, attachment points and storage in one product. For a short trip, that gives a small dog a designated spot while helping shield the seat from hair, scratches and splashes. A simple flat protector may suit you better if you only want to cover upholstery and do not need the enclosure or padding. Check the listed dimensions and your dog’s size before deciding, particularly as the size specification names small dogs even though the description also mentions medium dogs.
