SONGMICS DAMION LPC02W Small-Animal Enclosure, 140 x 70 x 45 cm with Floor

A defined indoor run gives small pets room to move while keeping them in one area. The SONGMICS DAMION LPC02W uses translucent plastic panels and comes with a floor. Its modular layout can be arranged in an L-shape or stacked into a two-storey setup using the included parts. How useful is that flexibility for your room? It depends on whether you want to change the layout rather than keep a fixed pen.

Practical tips

Assembly is required: the panels join with multi-angle connectors, and the included rubber mallet is intended to help with setup. The lightweight construction can also be dismantled and moved, which may suit a play area that needs to be cleared away after use. The floor is designed to help protect the surface beneath the enclosure, while the translucent panels make it easier to see your pet and interact with them.

The listed dimensions are 140 x 70 x 45 cm. Within the supplied parts, the pen can be set up in an L-shape for a corner or stacked into a two-storey arrangement. This is a different approach from a fixed, single-layout enclosure: it gives you some choice over how the space is organised, but the possible layouts are limited to the parts included. Smooth panels are intended to make climbing out less likely, and the connected panels are designed to discourage small animals from burrowing out, those details are not a substitute for checking that the assembled enclosure suits your pet.

Benefits

The translucent panels provide visibility without using an open-panel layout, and the plastic surfaces can be wiped with a damp cloth when dirty. The included floor adds a defined base, while the connectors allow the enclosure to be taken apart and reassembled. The product is listed for small animals including guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters and hedgehogs, so it may serve as a play area for more than one type of pet.

Buyer feedback is favourable on ease of assembly, size and suitability for small pets. However, views on durability and stability are mixed: some buyers describe it as sturdy, while others report breakages or parts shifting. That makes careful assembly and choosing a suitable position sensible, rather than assuming every setup will feel equally secure. You’ll like it if you want a translucent, rearrangeable pen with a floor. Better avoided if you need a consistently rigid enclosure, as the available feedback does not agree on its stability.

Questions before you buy

Does it include a floor? Yes. The product description lists a floor, which is intended to help protect the surface underneath.

Can the layout be changed? Yes. The included parts allow an L-shape arrangement or a two-storey setup, as well as a modular layout that can be dismantled and moved.

Is assembly needed? Yes. The plastic panels connect with multi-angle connectors, and a rubber mallet is included to help put it together.

Buying verdict

The SONGMICS LPC02W is worth considering for an indoor small-animal play area where a floor, visibility and more than one possible layout matter. Its wipe-clean plastic panels and ability to dismantle the pen add practical flexibility. The trade-off is that buyer feedback is divided on stability and durability, so it is a less reassuring choice if a particularly firm, dependable structure is your priority.
