Feandrea PTD072G01 Reusable Dog Training Pads, 2 Pack, 183 x 183 cm

The four-layer construction of the Feandrea PTD072G01 pads is designed to absorb urine while helping protect the surface beneath. Each washable pad measures 183 x 183 cm, giving you a large area to use in a pet pen, on a floor or over furniture.

The pack contains two grey pads, so you can use one while the other is being washed. They are intended for repeated use rather than disposal after a single accident.

Key points

Each pad has a polyester top layer that lets liquid pass through to a polyester filling, with a waterproof TPU layer beneath. The bottom has rubber dots to help keep the mat in place on surfaces such as floors or sofas. The layers are quilted together, which is intended to keep the construction joined during use.

That combination serves two practical needs: absorbing liquid and helping prevent it reaching the surface underneath. The non-slip backing also matters if your dog steps onto the pad on a smooth floor. It is not a guarantee that a pad will stay put on every surface, but the rubber-dot design is there to improve grip.

As a set of two, these are useful where you want a reusable covering available while the other pad is in the wash. Compared with disposable pads, the main difference is that these are designed to be washed and used again, disposable versions may suit someone who prefers not to launder a soiled pad.

How to look after it

The pads are machine washable. Wash them in warm water, then air dry or tumble dry at a medium temperature. The care guidance says not to use bleach or fabric softener, and the washing and drying temperature should not exceed 85 °C. Following those instructions is important if you want to keep using the pads rather than treating them as single-use coverings.

There is no need to dry clean them. If one pad is in the wash, the second can provide an alternative surface, although the details do not specify how long either pad takes to dry.

Tips for day-to-day use

Choose a flat area where the pad can lie fully open, then place it where your dog is most likely to need a protected surface. The listed uses include pet pens, cages, floors, carpets, sofas, other furniture and car seats. For example, a pad could be laid in a pen at home or over a seat when travelling with your dog, it can also be used to cover a spot on the floor during training.

It’s a good fit if you want a large, washable pad with a non-slip backing and would make use of having two in the set. If you move it between locations, its 183 x 183 cm size is worth bearing in mind so you can decide whether it will fit the space. It’s not for you if you specifically need a disposable pad that can be thrown away after use.

Should you buy it?

The Feandrea set is worth considering when the priority is reusable coverage for a dog’s usual indoor area, with the option of placing a pad on furniture or in a car as well. Its absorbent filling, waterproof TPU layer and rubber-dot base address different parts of the everyday task: taking in liquid, helping protect the surface below and improving grip.

The two-pad format makes most sense if you are comfortable washing pet bedding and following the care instructions. If you would rather avoid laundering, a disposable approach may suit your routine better. For anyone choosing between a small spot protector and broader coverage, these pads offer a large 183 x 183 cm format, the practical decision is whether that size suits the spaces where you plan to use them.
