Feandrea BOXAL Collection PPT009GN01 XL Open-Top Cat Litter Tray, Slate Grey
Product description
For a kitten, a senior cat or a larger cat that needs an easy step-in, the Feandrea BOXAL Collection PPT009GN01 has a low front entrance and an open top. Its high sides are intended to help keep litter and urine in the tray, while the open design allows airflow and makes it easier to observe litter habits.
At 50.5 x 37.5 x 19.5 cm, this XL tray has a roomy rectangular footprint, but buyers differ on how spacious it feels. The stated measurements are more useful than the XL label when deciding whether it will suit your cat and the space available.

Practical tips
The low front entrance is a useful feature for kittens and cats that may find a high step difficult. For day-to-day use, place the tray where your cat can reach it easily, with enough room to enter, turn and dig. The high sides can help contain mess, although the low entrance means the sides are not equally high all the way round.
The tray is washable, and its side panels can be removed for more thorough cleaning. The manufacturer recommends keeping litter between 3.8 and 7.6 cm deep for coverage and odour control, and advises against lifting or moving the tray when it is full. Unlike a covered tray, this open design does not conceal the litter or provide a lid, that may be preferable for easy access and observation, but less suited to someone specifically looking for an enclosed box.
The product name mentions a scoop, but the package contents list only one litter box. Check what is supplied before relying on a scoop being included. Buyers like the tray’s appearance, while feedback on its size is mixed: some find it roomy and others smaller than expected. Opinions on value for money are also divided.
Box contents
The package list specifies one litter box. Although the product name refers to a scoop, the supplied-items list does not confirm one, so it should not be assumed to come in the box.
Practical questions
Is the tray suitable for kittens or older cats? The low front entrance is designed to make getting in and out easier for kittens, senior cats and cats with mobility issues.
Is it an enclosed litter box? No. It has an open top and no lid, so the tray remains visible and accessible from above.
How much litter does the manufacturer recommend? The stated recommended depth is 3.8 to 7.6 cm. The tray should not be lifted or moved while full.
Final verdict
It suits you if you want an open, washable tray with a low entrance and high sides, and the stated dimensions work for your cat and home. Not the best choice if you need a covered design or require a larger-feeling tray than these measurements provide. The open format and practical entry are its clearest reasons to choose it, the mixed feedback on size makes the measurements particularly relevant before buying.
