FirFurd P228 140cm Sideboard, Black Engineered Wood, 4 Doors, 2 Drawers

Tips for day-to-day use

At 140 x 40 x 89 cm, this black engineered wood sideboard brings substantial storage and a generous tabletop to a kitchen, dining room or living space. Four doors conceal two storage areas, while two large drawers keep cups, cutlery and other frequently used items close to hand. Adjustable, removable shelves make it easier to organise items of different sizes, from plates and pots to household essentials.

Use the 140 x 40 cm top for a coffee maker, toaster or microwave, or keep it clear as a handy surface for meal preparation. Its smooth, waterproof surface is easy to clean after everyday use. The cabinet is freestanding and requires assembly, clear illustrated instructions and numbered accessories are provided. For added stability, the manufacturer recommends using the included anti-tilt device to attach it to the wall.

Strengths

The useful combination here is enclosed storage, drawers and an expansive top in one piece of furniture. Closed doors help keep kitchenware and household items out of sight, while the drawers make smaller essentials easier to reach. Compared with open shelving, this layout offers a tidier look for stored items, the tabletop still gives you space for appliances or decorative pieces.

The X-frame door fronts, black finish and bronze handles bring a distinctive look that can suit both modern and more traditional interiors. Buyers often highlight the appearance and storage capacity. Feedback on assembly and sturdiness is mixed, so allow time to follow the illustrated instructions carefully and secure the cabinet as recommended.

Key features

The sideboard has four doors, two drawers and four shelves across its enclosed storage areas. Shelf height can be adjusted, and the shelves can be removed to accommodate taller items. The spacious tabletop has a stated maximum load capacity of 50 kg, each drawer supports up to 15 kg and each shelf up to 20 kg. Soft-close hinges help the doors close quietly and smoothly.

Its rectangular, floor-standing design suits a range of rooms, including the kitchen, dining room, hallway, utility room or living room. Store less frequently used cookware behind the doors, keep cutlery in a drawer, and use the top for a small appliance or a vase. This arrangement makes practical use of one broad footprint without relying on separate storage and worktop furniture.

Does the sideboard need assembly? Yes. It is supplied with illustrated assembly instructions and numbered accessories. Once assembled, the manufacturer recommends attaching it to the wall with the included anti-tilt device for added stability.
