FOREHILL M169 House-Shaped Kids’ Storage Unit, 7 Compartments, 3 Drawers

For a child’s room where books, toys and everyday bits need a clear place, the FOREHILL M169 brings open storage and drawers together in one freestanding unit.

Its house-shaped outline, white and light purple finish and arched cut-outs add a distinctive look to a bedroom, nursery or playroom.

Seven open compartments keep belongings visible and easy to reach, while three drawers on wheels make it simple to move smaller items out of sight.

Getting the most from it

Use the open compartments for books, favourite toys or stationery that children reach for often. The visible layout makes it easier to find things and gives each item a natural place when tidying up. The three wheeled drawers are useful for grouping smaller toys, clothes or other daily essentials, recessed handles make them easy to pull out, and the wheels help them move without lifting.

At 120 x 30 x 117.5 cm, the unit provides a generous storage area while keeping its depth to 30 cm. It can be used in a child’s bedroom, nursery or playroom, and its freestanding design also suits a study or living room. Rounded corners and arched side cut-outs soften the shape, while the house-like silhouette can make a storage area feel more inviting to use.

Pros

The combination of open compartments and drawers offers a practical alternative to a closed cupboard: books and regularly used toys stay visible, while smaller belongings can be tucked away. The white and light purple colour scheme and polished finish bring a neat, coordinated look to a child’s space without making the storage purely decorative.

Two anti-tilt devices are provided to secure the unit to a wall. Follow the included mounting instructions when assembling and positioning it. Buyers have also highlighted its appearance and straightforward assembly, adding reassurance for anyone setting up a child’s room.

What to know

The unit is made from engineered wood and is designed for freestanding use. It requires assembly, with mounting instructions and accessories included. Its seven open compartments are paired with three wheeled drawers, so there is room to separate books, toys and smaller everyday items rather than keeping everything in one large space.

The house-shaped design makes it a natural fit for a nursery or playroom, but the storage can also serve as a children’s bookcase or display unit elsewhere in the home. Compared with a basic bookcase, the drawers give small belongings a dedicated place, compared with a fully enclosed cabinet, the open sections keep frequently used items in view.

What to clarify

What can be stored in the unit? The compartments and drawers are intended for books, toys, stationery, dolls, clothes, ornaments and other daily necessities. The open sections suit items you want to see and reach easily, while the drawers can group smaller belongings.

How much space does it need? Its dimensions are 120 x 30 x 117.5 cm. Allow space to access the drawers and position the unit where it can be secured to the wall using the provided anti-tilt devices.

Does it need to be assembled? Yes. Assembly is required, and mounting instructions and accessories are included to guide setup.

When it makes sense

Choose the FOREHILL M169 when a child’s room needs more than a simple shelf: its seven open compartments make books and toys easy to spot, and its three wheeled drawers give smaller essentials a place of their own. The house-shaped design adds character while keeping everyday storage organised in one freestanding unit.
